I have another chainsaw (the same size) with a power cord that I use two or three times a year. The cord is not convenient, so I was excited about trying the Adegso saw with lithium batteries, but I didn’t anticipate how difficult it would be to get the right tension on the chain. However, having watched the video on the website, I realize that my error may have been tightening down the large nuts before I turned the dial to tighten the tension. I encourage you to watch the video first! It is much more useful than the paper instruction manual provided in the case. I wish I had thought to check the website earlier! The saw cuts pretty well when the chain tension is right, and it's not too noisy. I tried cutting some dead wood (always harder to cut than living wood), and the saw cut through branches with a 2-inch diameter without any problem, so the saw does work. I don’t know how long the battery will last because I only used the saw for a few minutes this time. A couple of other points: the kit includes most of what you need to use the saw, but not everything. You will need to buy some bar and chain lube before you use the saw. Also, no funnel is included in the kit to help you get the oil into the saw. It would be nice if they could add that to the kit. I looked around for something that would work (the only funnels I had were too big), and eventually I found a small container with a lip (originally intended for filling a steam iron). I was able to pour the oil from the bottle I bought into the container and then from the container into the saw. The saw comes with a sturdy storage case, but you have to remove the blade and chain from the saw to put it back in the case. I like the fact that the saw came with safety glasses, comfortable work gloves, a screwdriver, and a wrench. The work gloves would fit a man with small to medium hands or a woman with medium to large hands. Overall, this saw does a good job, but I did find it harder than expected to get things aligned and tightened down. For instance, the guard that protects your hands from the blade never fully tightened down (I would have stripped the heads on the screws if I had tried to screw it in any more), but at least it does tighten down enough to stay in place and protect your hands.
