Amazing customer service! The product was shipped immediately. Ran into issues with quality of the screen due to the shippers being extremely rough with the package (punctures in the boxes) but Silver Tickets worked with me on the issue to have the discrepancy re-mediated. I recommend purchasing this product if you are on the fence. By far the customer service and quality of the product was above expectations. The photos do not do it justice but I have used this screen with fully lit (LED Light Bulbs), Partially Lit (natural light), and completely dark settings and the screen rejected all ambient light. Projector Used LG HF85JA. Update: This screen is definitely worth the purchase, I have now had it for a few months and constantly get compliments from guests. I always tell them Silver Tickets on Amazon is the place to purchase. I even had a friend purchase a larger one making me wish I had done the same.     • Great screen but evaluate which screen material is best

We bought this to replace a 20 year-old screen in our media room that was half the size and showing some wear. We weren’t certain what color to buy, but then after reviewing the company’s website, we saw they sold a test kit for $10 with shipping that provide provided samples of all of their screens. We could put those on the wall and see which one looked the best with the projector. We went with a silver even though it was more expensive than the gray by a couple hundred dollars because it looks so much better. I recommend you do this if you’re not certain what to purchase. I had a handy person put the screen together and install it. It took her about three hours to assemble and took three of us to put the screen up because of its size. It went very well. ... show more

    • This a fantastic screen for the money

This a fantastic screen for the money, and now I know why it is so frequently recommended by A/V review sites over competitor products that cost at least two times more. Unlike cheap flocking like some of the lower-end (but still more expensive) Elite screens I've seen, the felt is solid and durable. The frame is sturdy and easy to assemble, and keeps the material taut as it should. The screen itself is very effective if you have a lot of light in your theater room. We use our projector as a living room tv, so there are always open windows or turned on lights. Even with a lot of light in the room, the picture is very clear. There is a small drawback if you sit too close (our seating is about 12-14' away for a 120" screen), in that you will see sparkling spots on the screen due to the material in certain bright scenes. Out of four people, I was the only one who noticed it and was bothered by it (if you haven't guessed, I'm the overly picky everything must be perfect type of person), one other person noticed and didn't care, and the rest didn't know what I was talking about. Moving further back from the screen alleviated the problem. Some of this can no doubt be attributed to the projector (Sony HW40ES), which is quite bright even on lower settings. I contacted Silver Ticket Products about swapping the screen for their standard white, and they shipped it to me in two days and refunded me the difference, AND let me keep the 5D screen as well! Unpacking, assemble and installation are a straightforward two person job that can be accomplished in one to two hours with basic hand tools. You will need a level which is not included. Also, not included in the instructions, once the frame is assembled (before installing the screen material), is the best time to measure the wall and set the mounting screws to hang the screen. This way, you can maneuver the frame without fear of damaging the material. Being able to slide the mounting brackets in the top and bottom tracts from side to side means you can use the nearest wall studs and still have the screen centered exactly where you want it on the wall. The frame includes a black velvet border that accents the screen and blocks any light spill from the projector. The grey color deepens the blacks and sharpens the images when using 3D. Don't know much about screens. So after installing the screen is made out off a tough yet flexible plastic, like the one used on inflated water rafts in gray color. The one i received, after following the instructions to the t, there was a couple of scratch-like lines on the upper left corner. These lines might not do much difference, however, there are there. Stars given to this related to the overall perception is 5. But as being plastic, not knowing if best ones are made out of a cloth materials, 4. If not then 5. As for the scratch goes, well if theres a discount on it ill be ok with the screen and a discount. LMK ThanK you ... show more

UPDATE #2: I eventually received an emailed response from Silver Ticket about the artifacts on the screen. The response was that they HAVE heard of this issue before, but typically only if the screen is mounted backwards in the frame. I did verify that the label on my screen that read "BACK" was in fact facing the wall and was properly installed. I suppose I could assume that this label was applied to the wrong side of the screen during manufacturing and just flipped it over to try again, but at that point I was already disassembling it. Repacked it and returned. I wound up purchasing an Elite Screens Cinegray 3D Sable Frame in 120", and while it was considerably more expensive (by about $200), the screen is absolutely pristine. No artifacts, excellent contrast. They have also fixed the fiddly grommet system that was needed for assembly, and have largely mirrored the Silver Ticket tensioning system, which is much less fussy and a welcome surprise when opening the box. Wrote a review for the Elite Screen I purchased as well (to include video) if interested in comparing the two. Had high hopes for the Silver Ticket, but unfortunately it just didn't work out for me. Guessing their white or gray options may be better. UPDATE: Original rating 3 stars, lowered to 1 star due to what seems to be non-existent customer service. I emailed Silver Ticket support (there is no telephone support option, which is kind of a huge red flag) about the questions I have with my screen and the vertical/diagonal lines that are visible when the screen is brightly lit. Website says a support team member will reply within 24 hours. Two emails a week apart, and zero response to either. So, don't count on customer support if you have an issue with your screen. Had the company actually replied, I might barrel through and keep the screen, but given the disregard for even answering basic product questions, I will be unmounting, disassembling, and returning the screen. Oh well. Will try Elite Screens instead. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought the Silver color (not grey), so this review is related to that specific product. Screen was well-packed, and despite UPS' best efforts to destroy the box, all parts were intact and undamaged. Assembly instructions were nothing to write home about, but tutorials on Youtube proved effective. Assembly took about 35 minutes, and I took my time. This assembly method is MUCH easier than the Elite Screens products and their fiddly spring-mount system. The screen has a black velvet border and is not a thin bezel, which I do not mind, but be aware when purchasing if you are considering anesthetics. The border is 2" wide. When fully assembled, the screen has a perfect degree of tautness. I was previously using a generic 100" pull down white screen that didn't quite hang flat. This 120" is much better in that regard. My projector is an Epson Home Cinema 4000. It is a 2200 lumen 4k projector (the lumens are supposedly underrated), but because I have the projector in a room that cannot be fully light-controlled, plus a lower-lumen projector, I went with the silver material due to it's reported 1.5 gain. Knowing increasing from 100 to 120 inches would dim the picture, and that a non-white screen would lower brightness as well, I hoped the increased gain would balance things out. For the most part, this is proving to be the case. I would say the brightness is roughly the same versus my old screen, but colors are very slightly diminished, but contrast is improved. One caveat...the 1.5 gain of the screen will make very bright scenes appear somewhat grainy, however I have only noticed this when doing bright-white testing. When projecting only white light, there are very clear defects in the screen material, made up of subtle vertical lines in the material. Unfortunately my screen also has a very prominent diagonal line down the center of the screen under these lighting conditions. Note that these lines are not visible to me during most viewing, but are very easy to see when lit more brightly, such as white screens or skies. (See photo...you can hopefully see the ghost-like vertical lines). There is hot-spotting, but I believe this is due to the high gain of the screen...sitting further back seems to help. Viewing angles are actually pretty good. Overall, I'd say the screen is "OK", but not great. It's fine in most situations, but when you see the vertical lines (and the bizarre diagonal one I have), you can't really unsee it. I have only had it installed for about 24 hours, and may wind up returning it...not sure yet...will give it a week and decide. If the material didn't have the vertical and diagonal artifact that mine does, I would rate this 5 stars. Also, this screen STINKS. Be prepared for a chemical smell permeating your house. My guess is that this is initial off-gassing and that it should quickly resolve. ... show more

I was looking at much more expensive $2000 screens and decided to go with this one since I have small kids and the possibility of them using it as a chalk board is high. LOL The screen came in very well packaged. The assembly was very straight forward but installation method could be better. I was able to hang the 128" screen by myself but recommend a second person. There is a strong paint smell after you unroll the fabric but it will disappear after a few days. I cannot imagine that a more expensive screen can give you anything that this screen does not. After watching a few 4K Blue Ray movies, the image is absolutely perfect (Epson 4050). I would re-buy if the kids actually use it as a chalk board. ... show more
