For more than three years, we had a queen mattress sitting on a bed frame designed for a king. We recently upgraded to a king size mattress, but we were still using the smaller queen platform underneath it. That caused the mattress to dip slightly toward the headboard, which was definitely not ideal. This bunkie board solved the problem right away. It arrived in two pieces, which made installation straightforward. The pieces are fairly heavy, so having a second person to help move and position them is a good idea. The very first night we slept on the bed with the bunkie board installed, it felt like our mattress had been upgraded. The support was noticeably better and the mattress sat level across the entire frame. There was a slight odor during the first couple of days after installation, but it faded quickly. Overall, this has been a great upgrade to our bed setup and made a big difference in comfort.

This will make your mattress last way longer imo, it’s very good quality, easy to install, and has really great support! I ordered this for my 14yr old son’s bed. We just switched his twin bed for a larger full size bed and we’re hoping it lasts him thru the next 10yrs. I do believe getting this bunker board was a great idea and will help with longevity of the bed frame and the mattress. It also helped make the mattress way more comfortable! He has a medium level bed as far as softness goes. His last twin mattress started falling thru the boards on his last bed, but that can’t happen with this one. It fits perfect and snug into the frame…it’s got some weight to it but that’s just cus it’s a solid piece! It’s valued a little too high imo, that’s why I took a star off…it costed more than the bed frame itself. But I do still recommend getting this! I want one for my queen size bed, but we’re about to switch to a king so I’m waiting.

I've never used, had nor have I ever heard of a bunkie board before. After installing this and sleeping on it i wish I would have though. It's made all the difference I've been wanting in my nights sleep. I think a lot of times we think it's our mattress when in reality it's actually what our mattress is laying on. It gives your mattress the support it needs to keep your body comfortable and in a great sleeping position. No more sagging or uncomfortable spots on your mattress. It's a high quality and fully functional bedding item that you'll be beyond grateful that you chose over a traditional box spring or slats. It took me about twenty five minutes to set up. Although you cannot see it, it's made of a great material that's not going to damage your mattress and it does look nice and smooth while you're installing it. I think this helps your comfort level knowing that you're adding quality to your night's sleep. It's an extremely great value for your money and one that's definitely worth trying.

I ordered this for our guest room bed after moving the mattress to a platform bed with steel slats. We were happy to get rid of the old broken box spring, but the mattress was much too soft, so it sank in between the slats. This bunkie board is a lifesaver and it's going to get us years of additional use out of that mattress. It's very easy to use. Just remove your mattress from the bed frame, unfold the bunkie board and lay it out on the frame, then put the mattress on top of it. It turns the slats into a more solid base for softer mattresses so they don't get deformed sinking between slats. We also use one on top of a slightly damaged box spring in our own bedroom and that's another option where bunkie boards help by offering more stability. This is a very well-made bunkie board. It provides firm support under your mattress. And it's an absolute bargain compared to getting a new mattress.

I bought this for my daughter’s metal platform bed which was starting to make a noise every time she moved. The noise-minimizing claim is 100% true. It fits the 54”x75” frame perfectly and provides that extra layer of stability without adding any height. Plus, the fact that it came fully assembled was a huge win, just unfolded it and laid it down. The reason I deducted one star from the rating is, I find it a tad bit overpriced. After all it's just wooden slats.

I have a queen bed that was way too high off the ground for people like my mom who are super short and needed a stool to get up onto the bed. This bunkie board was the perfect solution for replacing a thick box spring and bringing the bed down lower to a reasonable height. This hard board is super heavyweight, which made it a little difficult to get it onto the bed, but once you make the effort to move the mattress around, it really works well for the purpose of supporting the mattress. It's very sturdy once you fold it out. It fit perfectly, was easy to assemble by simply folding out the boards, and was a good value for the money.
