Description

How do I retain my Jeep's factory OEM backup camera? If your Jeep has a factory backup camera, it requires a specific RCA retention adapter (sold separately) to display on this screen. Consult us before installing so we can guide you to the correct adapter for your JL or JT My steering wheel controls (SWC) aren't working. How to fix? Ensure the CANBUS box is plugged in. Go to Settings > Factory Settings > CANBUS Setup. Select Jeep Wrangler JL/Gladiator to decode the SWC signals correctly, then save and reboot the radio. The included aftermarket camera shows "No Signal" when reversing. Splice the camera's red power wire to the reverse light 12V+, and plug the yellow RCA cable into the "CAM-IN" port on the back of the stereo. Also, check settings to ensure the camera format is set to AHD 1080P. How do I connect Wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? "Forget" all previous Bluetooth pairings on your phone. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, pair directly to the new stereo's Bluetooth name, and accept all connection permissions on your phone to launch automatically. Why is there no sound coming from my speakers? If you experience no sound, check your CANBUS settings. For the Jeep JL/JT, the CANBUS decoder must be properly plugged in and configured in the factory settings to wake up your Jeep's factory audio amplifier.

Model: 10 Inch with Single Knob keybutton
This head unit was a great, super-simple upgrade for my 2018 Jeep JL. Installation was very easy - just pop off the climate panel using the included plastic tool and remove a few screws. I recommend removing the display from the enclosure during assembly, it made the process much easier. My unit didn’t include the clips for the top mount, but I was able to reuse the OEM clips without any issues. Everything was plug and play and took maybe 10 minutes to install. I routed the microphone around the enclosure and mounted it at the center of the dash. I left the GPS antenna inside the dash since I primarily use carplay, but the GPS puck still picked up signal just fine for basic use. The unit includes its own backup camera, which I tested and confirmed works well. However, I wanted to retain my OEM camera, so I purchased an additional converter box ($80 on Amazon, ASIN B0FHB1DFTX). Once installed, it worked perfectly without having to run a new cable. The converter box was more difficult to install than the whole head unit! Once set up, the unit looks like a high-quality OEM component. The screen fits perfectly between the vents, and the buttons have a solid, jeep-like feel. You can customize both the LED colors and button actions. While I couldn’t match the LED brightness exactly to the rest of the center console, I was able to get it very close. The bluetooth and wifi range are excellent - and out of box there was an android update that applied when I connected to wifi. Out of box it was also able to show me notifications my previous head unit didn't, including settings for climate (not able to change) and door open alerts. I’m using this with the OEM base speaker system, which would rattle the soundbar with even modest bass when paired with the stock head unit. This unit delivers similar power but sounds far more balanced. Even with increased bass via the EQ, there’s significantly less distortion compared to the factory deck - a major improvement. Overall, I highly recommend this unit. It’s the best-looking option I’ve found, installs easily, performs great and is an excellent price. I primarily use it with carplay; native Android apps can be a bit slow (Chrome in particular), but the overall UI is responsive and smooth - and there's a wide variety of free and paid auto launcher apps if you want to customize the look and feel beyond what the included launcher supports. ... show more

This falls into the newer generation of Android head units that are clearly improving in both features and overall quality. Compared to earlier Android radios, performance is smoother, boot times are quicker, and general responsiveness is noticeably better. Like most vehicle-specific Android units, it includes backup camera support, GPS, and steering wheel control retention. Sound output is clean, though internal amplification is still limited — an external amp is recommended if you care about volume or clarity at higher levels. Installation is straightforward thanks to the vehicle-specific trim, which makes this a cleaner upgrade than universal units. I am content with a ten-inch screen; more would occasionally be inconvenient for both sight lines and my hands on the wheel. The crucial specification for a touchscreen that does not lag is present: RAM of 4GB. It would be great if this respectable RAM was paired with an eight-core processor, but because the processor's name and core count are not specified, I would presume it is neither four nor eight. However, having enough RAM is crucial to preventing lag. Because the screen is QLED, it has exceptional brightness and vividness. A fantastic screen. However, this radio's programmable dial and buttons may be its greatest feature. The bottom of the screen has one large dial and six customizable buttons. The dial may be twisted and pushed in as a button, and it can be set to directly implement fundamental Android system features. Initially, the dial is programmed for volume, which is what most people would expect. It is helpful either way. I am not sure if the buttons can be customized to work with other apps or only with standard Android system commands. It was not at all difficult to install. If you have even a passing familiarity with dash panels, it is essentially plug-and-play. The wiring harness made everything simple, and everything fit snugly. Additionally, it preserved my steering wheel controls, which was crucial to me. The storage combination is respectable. When used normally, the system does not slow, but if you intend to load a lot of third-party apps, it will not be very powerful. Nevertheless, it functions flawlessly with hands-free calling, music, and navigation. Bluetooth is useful for streaming music and making calls. Very impressed with this head unit. The QLED screen looks sharp and bright, and wireless CarPlay connected quickly without any headaches. The physical volume knob is a huge plus and makes it feel more OEM. Performance has been smooth so far with no lag when switching apps.
