SONOS does not make a dedicated microphone that you can use for karaoke or as a PA system (like if you are having an event at your home and want to pipe your voice throughout the house). You can use any microphone in the line-in port on select SONOS speakers but there's a little delay because of the analog to digital conversion inside the SONOS speaker. This delay can be distracting, especially if you are hearing your own voice with a delay through the speakers. This wireless microphone set has digital optical audio output which eleminates the delay. You have to have a SONOS speaker with optical audio input (like the original sound bar). It works perfectly for my purpose. It even comes with the necessary cables for digital optical audio. This microphone also has HDMI output which is digital as well and although I didn't test it, I would imagine it works the same way. ... show more

I am an audio enthusiasts and have semi pro dj set-up for small events, mostly karaoke. I can't use it at home , it will be over kill. I was looking for a small set-up for home karaoke , something minimalist to match my jamo and klipsch home audio and found this absolutely beautiful small but powerful home karaoke unit. Pros - quality build, mic response, clarity, simplicity, price, multiple options for input and output [hdmi and optical] wow. I got compliments today 1st time using it. Cons - non so far, but I hope this unit lasts longer as I plan to use it weekly. Lastly, im using the TV optical output to this unit then output optical to my Denon receiver, so then I have options to use the different audio settings, not just plain stereo. Amazing sound quality. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. 06/19 update , I tried using it for a small bday event about 100 people and open air venue. The performance was okay but it drops ones in a while when your about 50ft or more away. I still get nice voice quality though. ... show more

Bought several mics, both wireless and direct connect, but these Karaoke mixer system sounds great with my Sonos Soundbar. however, there's a noticeable background noise interference when unit is turned on.     • Setup was a breeze. There's an annoying hum when turned on.

I am giving 3 stars since the setup was very easy and worked without any issue. Supplied optical cables were good and plugged in without any issue. However, when the unit is turned on, there's a pretty loud annoying hum (likely 60Hz mains being picked up). Also, the audio quality is a bit lower than direct connection, which I am ok with a product at $100. Assuming the hum was being picked up from the power adaptor, I powered it from my battery backup (used to charge my phone when travelling), but the hum is still there. I ordered a 1/4" Jack to RCA adaptor (since it only has 1/4" output) to see if the hum goes away. If I can't solve this, I would be returning it for a refund. Other than the hum, I really loved ease of use, packaging, and supplied accessories, although it would be great if they provide 1/4" jack to RCA breakout cables. What a disappointment. I was excited about this product and the fact that I could get it the following day through Amazon so I didn't read the hit or miss reviews. It arrived on time and was easy to connect the optical cables that come with it to the TV and my AV Receiver, but neither one of the microphones will pair to the Karaoke receiver. Following the troubleshooting directions in the manual I powered down the mic and the receiver. Then held the mic power button down til I got the flashing "1d". At that point I quickly released the power button and quickly press it one time which put it into pairing mode, which was confirmed by the flashing signal icon in the top right corner of the mic's LED display. Then I turned on the karaoke receiver and waited for it to pair and nothing. After about 10 seconds the mic moved out of pairing mode as the icon stopped blinking. It tried this several times and nothing. Tried it in an area that had no other electronic devices and nothing. Even when out and bought the best world champion AA alkaline batteries available just to check that box and nothing. Tried to contact the manufacturer, but their support line has better than bankers hours Mon-Fri from 10am to 5:30pm so I sent a detailed email help request. We'll see what happens, but regardless, any simple fix if one even exists should have been in the manual. ... show more

This is the perfect device for home karaoke! What I like: Compact - it takes up hardly any space below the TV Great sound - the mics sound great and are very simple to use. We've never had any problems with feedback, even when standing under the speaker Battery life - we've used the mics for about eight hours, and still full batteries Cables included - the packages includes all the cables you might need. I used both toslink cables to get sound from the TV in and then to my amplifier out. The device easily connected to my home stereo and plays over my in ceiling speakers. I didn't need to get a large, bulky device. I noticed my favorite KTV places have switched to just a tablet with YouTube on it. This is in fact a better experience than the dedicated units with downloaded midi songs. The same setup works great at home. Just use YouTube on your Smart TV, and connect this device to mix in your microphones. So much fun, and it's easy enough for the whole family to operate. ... show more

Exactly as it is described. I’ve been lost on how to connect my existing home theater system and a new karaoke machine. I called to Home Theatre stores, they have no ideas. And, I went to local music sotre, they sell me what they had (expensive gadgets with extra functions that I didn't even need). Finally, I just found this product and it is PERFECT.
