I’ve been waiting for to write this review for a while! Honestly, the price is worth it and you get the bare minimum which is cheaper than a few alternatives. I do enjoy the tinted background as it adds to the main view! Assembling it was simply, I just struggled since it’s the first time I had managed a tank since middle school. I didn’t use the light provided, instead I opted for a Hygger which has done wonders! The filter is nice but I don’t know how good it is. It can get clogged easily so make sure to try and remove any debris! The heater honestly didn’t work at all, I’d recommend getting something else. I’ve seen a few reviews about the durability of the tank lacking, mine has been okay but I do worry. Overall, a solid tank but you’ll have to put work into it. ... show more

●EDIT-Set up tank, plugged in filter and NOPE! didnt work! Was going to return but heck, I had another filter so I use it instead. THIS IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HEADACHES. SAVE YOUR MONEY.● If it wasn't such a hassle to rebox and send back I would! Cheap plastic cover first off. The filter media, ha, they show alot and I got EIGHT pieces, doesn't fill the chamber. The light cannot be clipped on the side for even lighting without moving the clips that hold the plastic lid. Doing so makes the lid wobble. Sorry, the aquarium itself looks great but everything else seems to just been thrown in to make it a kit. ... show more

So far so good with this 10 gallon tank I set up in my daughter’s bedroom. It looks great, but I’ve given it four stars because the jury is still out on whether I will keep the heater included. I have a thermometer measuring the water temperature and for the first couple of days it was in the range that I needed it to be for my daughter‘s betta but the other day the thermometer was saying the temperature was 73° (which would not be ideal for a betta) although the water felt fairly warm to the touch so not sure if the thermometer acted up or the heater. Will probably end up buying a separate thermometer just to double check as the heater provided is not adjustable and set at 26°C/78.8°F. ... show more

Tank is pretty good so far. It was easy to put together and it's not loud at all. You can adjust water flow which is good. Lid is easy to remove which is nice. The light is OK. If you want something brighter or with different colors, then you'll have to buy a different light separately. The heater seems to be doing it's job. It comes preset for 78 degrees. Light turns green when the temperature reaches that, red when is not. The black background is a good addition so you don't see anything behind it. The tools included are useful but not entirely great either. Now I'm just waiting for the tank to cycle before I add fish. Definitely recommended, specially at that price. ... show more

The glass structure itself is fine, the heater seems to have difficulty maintaining a constant temperature though because this is a lidless tank. The sizing of the aquarium is fine but if you are looking to add a cover note this does not have a frame and most covers do not properly fit it. The light burnt out yesterday- one day before my return window is over. The lighting itself isn’t ideal and the filter does not seem super effective- a lot of buildup in less than a month of use even with cleaner fish in the tank. In my opinion- I really wanted to like this tank but it is not ideal with the equipment provided and the half cover lid is not very useful. The fact that the light burnt out so early when aquariums are supposed to be lit for 8hrs is crazy to me… the tank itself looks sleek in the sense of the glass being frameless so if you just needed a tank for plants it would look very aesthetically pleasing ... show more

I am so pleasantly surprised with this tank. It is beautiful, sleek, and sexy. The build seems great, it looks great, and I was VERY surprised at the things that are included in the kit. It comes with a heater, I'm not sure of the quality, longevity, or reliability of the little heater, but it's pretty rare to get a kit that comes with a heater. The best surprise overall was the filter! It's loaded with the real stuff you need in a biological filter system! Not those ridiculous little cartridges. I was stunned when I opened the filter and saw 3 separate compartments (I got the 10 gallon, not sure what the others look like inside the filter), including sponges and ceramic media. I usually have to overhaul these hang-on filters and put my own ceramic media and sponges and whatnot in it to make it usable. One possible drawback is that the filter is extremely low flow, even at the highest setting. But, that is not a drawback for me. I plan to put a betta in here, and most filters are WAAY too strong for a betta. I am so looking forward to not having to constantly solve problems with baffling the flow to accommodate my fish. It also makes absolutely no noise, so that's a plus. The other possible drawback is that there is about a 1 inch gap that the lid doesn't cover. Bettas are known jumpers, so that might be an issue, but we'll see. This tank has definitely exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I will update if any crazy things happen that change my mind ... show more
