I love that you can adjust the pump speed to exactly what you need, and it’s much quieter than I expected. Installation was simple and straightforward, and ever since I installed it, my pool water has stayed clean and clear. No more fighting green water! I did run into an issue with the pump at one point and had to contact customer service. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. They walked me through some troubleshooting steps, and when the issue couldn’t be resolved, they sent me a replacement pump at no extra charge and with no hassle. I *was* extremely impressed with this pump. It was super quiet, and the multi-speed functionality worked great. I've been recommending it to coworkers and bragging about how quiet and powerful it is, especially compared to some of the HA** and PE** brands. Unfortunately, an issue arose yesterday at the worst possible time. The pump now makes a grinding noise as soon as it's powered on, and the output has dropped significantly. My wife's 50th birthday party is on July 4th, so I need this resolved as quickly as possible. As of today, Sunday, June 21st, I'm hoping that when I contact the company tomorrow, they'll be able to send a replacement immediately before the pool starts turning green. I'll report back on how well the company handles the warranty and support process. Up until this issue, however, the pump had been fantastic. Amendment:: The company in question seems to have 2 separate service departments that seem to not share information. It is Friday, the day I was promised a replacement, and no pump. The operator promised a tracking number today. Tick-Tock, the clock is running. If I am forced to wait for more than a a few days, I'll be forced to go down a different path.

So far so good. Fairly easy install. Some things to know… 1. The wire colors are not standard. For 240VAC you’d expect black, red and green, or maybe black, black and green. Not black white green. Green is green, and the other two are hot. 2. The power cord is about 9.5 feet. That was long enough for my job. Primed very easy. Programming was easy and intuitive. It comes with just enough fittings (two in each size, 1.5”, 2” and 2.5” Schedule 40). I screwed up one 1.5” fitting, which forced me to use the 2” fitting with a reducer. It would have been nice to have an extra fittings. I guess the one thing everyone worries about with an inexpensive pump is longevity. Mine is new on 8/1/2026. I’ll update if and when it stops working

**UPDATE** It is not often in the world that you have phenomenal support and customer service. I called the company expecting the worst when My product was slightly outside of the warranty. Within the first business day, they reached out to me and asked what troubleshooting I had done to the unit I was having issues with... without question or hesitation they said, we will send you out a replacement immediately. The replacement is now installed, and as the original is humming along quietly and flawlessly. Thank you again for your amazingly fast attention to this issue. Thank you for building an amazing product, and backing it up! Purchased 1 year and one month ago... Had it installed about 6 months ago... it was quiet and flawless, and then just stopped working. I have left a message with customer service, I'll update review when they get back to me.

The pump and motor deserve a 5-star review. It's extremely quiet and very energy efficient. But the company that provides it needs to practice basic quality control before they ship a product. Pump/motor Installation: The pump is lightweight and easy to handle, so one person can easily perform the installation. Make sure the pump flanges are level with the inlet and outlet piping flanges. The O-rings are small and seal perfectly when the alignment is correct, but they are not large enough to overcome a misalignment and will leak if it's not near perfect. Purchase a pack of small shims to correct any misalignment. Electrical and wiring: Standard wiring colors for a 220-volt system are black/black/red. The 220 motor comes with black/white/green (colors for 120v). This can be a little confusing and should probably be shipped with the correct color wiring. This is where they lost the 5th star in the review. After wiring the pump and applying power, the control panel did not come on. After troubleshooting, checking and rechecking the wiring for 45 minutes, I decided to remove the control panel to see if the wiring was not connected inside the pump. The small 4-pin plug that connects the control panel to the motor was not plugged in at all. After connecting the plug, everything worked fine. This should be a basic test by the manufacturer before they ship a product. Programming the controller is easy, but they should indicate in the provided manual that the pump must be off to adjust anything, even the clock setting. Once set, it's a smooth, quiet operation. Updated review: After several days in operation, there has been NO instance of the clock time losing accuracy as was reported in many previous reviews. The issue was likely due to timers based on a 50hz cycle which is common in Europe and Asia vs. a 60hz cycle used in America. Looks like they've fixed this issue.

Excellent variable speed pump at a great price! I purchased the 2.5 HP pump and had my poolman install it. Even the poolman was impressed with the pump and all its features and ammenities at that price range. He was particularly impressesed with the ease to install and to program it, and with the pump's run dry automatic switch off safety system that protects pump and impeller from accidental run dry on install, from air bubbles in piping, and from pool water drops in droughts. It rains a lot here and there is year round hot, humid, tropical weather where I live, so he really liked the pump's protective housing that offers additional protection to its electrical components and protects pump from rusting out prematurely. He told me that energy wise, this pump should consume as much as a 90 Watt to a 100 Watt light bulb to operate, so that is alsoexcellent news! The pump is very quiet and does an excellent job at circulating all the water through the filtration system. My pool is inground, kidney bean shaped, and within the 8,000 to 10,000 gallon range including its inground hot tub / jacuzzi. I run the pump normally between speeds 2 and 3 and use speed 4 for small sprints mainly for clean up work to avoid damaging ribs in celaton filter system. Around 2-months in now from pump install and no issues with the pump's performance. I will try to update comment after a couple of years to confirm durability.

So far 5 stars. I'll update when it's been in service for a while. Ordered the pump on Saturday evening and it arrived on Sunday afternoon. Amazon's had a lot of problems with quick delivery lately but this one actually came through on time. The installation was relatively straightforward just had to replumb the 2-in lines to and from the pump as the input and output did not line up with where the old pump was. The old pump was also a variable speed but one point eight horsepower and the difference between that pump and this pump is night and day. I hesitate to run this pump on full speed as it's so much more powerful than the pump it replaced. I have a Hayward heater that the old pump had to run at 100% in order to satisfy the heater flow rate. This pump runs at maybe 40% in order to make the heater happy. So far extremely happy with this pump but time will tell if the reliability is there. I've seen other reviews about the noise level but this is one of the quietest pumps that I've had so I'm not sure what the issue was with the other reviews.
