The media could not be loaded. So far so perfect. The only tricky thing I did not understand was the positioning of the filter itself but I apparently have it in the correct position and everything is running smoothly. The sound of the filter system is very very minimal it’s at the very least a very low hum. I love the light, the fact that it’s a glass tank and the filter. The only thing missing from this little kit is a tiny heater (I have added my own). Whoever says this is unfit for a betta is surely mistaken. ... show more

I always love small tank cause I have a lot of small fish. I didn't use the filter come with (I read the reviews before I bought it) I have couple neon tetra in this tank, which is perfect.

Cute little tank overall and works well for my needs, but I was disappointed that it did not include the substrate or volcanic rocks as mentioned in the description. That was a bit misleading and something buyers should be aware of. That said, the tank itself is really nice. I’m using it as a temporary hospital tank for a baby betta while he builds up his strength, and it’s been perfect for that purpose. The size is manageable, the filter and light work well, and I especially love the black background—it really makes the fish pop once the light is on. The glass feels solid, the setup was simple, and visually it looks much nicer than a typical small starter tank. If the missing items had been included as advertised, this would easily be a 5-star tank. Still a good option, just don’t expect it to come fully aquascape-ready out of the box. ... show more

No instructions for the filter assembly. It says it includes volcanic rock and substrate but it did not. Very disappointing. I might have to return this. I didn't expect to spend money on substrate since it was supposed to be included. I have no idea how to assemble the filter. Definitely returning if I can't figure it out. ... show more

This tank is super cute but I'm wondering if I'm the only one with issues here? It seems to not be sealed together on one side of the upper glass limiting water amount in the tank and the light gets SO HOT. I feel like this can't be safe. I tried to see if I could just replace the light, but Amazon wants a full return of an unused tank which you can't know these things until you use it. Very frustrating. ... show more

Tank was well packed and arrived unbroken/without flaw. The glass is very thick and well put together and the tank itself is rimless. The tank comes with a little usb plug in light, which is sufficient to light the tank as it is pretty bright, but if you want to do plants you may require something larger. It also comes with a small HOB filter, but if you plan to put guppies, a betta or shrimp in the tank I'd recommend either making sure the sponge filter insert is 100% snug on the HOB or you opt to use a small air pump/sponge filter combo instead. The tanks also comes with a lid and hardware to clip it on, which is a nice touch, because a lot of rimless tanks don't have an option for a lid or have a lid that only covers part of the aquarium. It does not come with any gravel, heater or decor, so you will need to provide that yourself. The set up is straight forward but I'd recommend either keeping the little foam rectangle it ships in to place it under the tank or you can purchase little corner bumpers designed for nano rimless tanks to protect the bottom and keep it level and unstressed even on surfaces not designed to hold an aquarium level. ... show more
