I have a platform bed with slats, but the slats weren't enough to keep my memory foam mattress from sagging, and my old back was killing me! Because I am older with a really bad back, I couldn't just go get plywood and cut it to fit, along with putting a smooth finish on it, and paying someone to do that would cost more than buying this bunkie board. I appreciate that the board is in two pieces that fold with hinges for my queen sized bed, because that meant I could install it by myself. It does raise the mattress above the platform more than I would like, but it's just an esthetic issue. The only bad thing is that I am seriously sensitive to scent, so I had to unpack it and let it offgas for a week and a half before I could stand it. But the first night I slept on it made it totally worth it! My back feels much better, and my neck too - I didn't even realize how bad my neck hurt until it got some relief! This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. My bed is stable and I sleep really well, along with reduced back and neck pain. Totally worth it! 👌 ... show more

I did not believe the other reviews about what a huge difference these boards make, but I was wrong. I am so glad I bought these for our new guest room mattress and bed frame. The black victorian metal frame (Amazon purchase) is not tall enough for a full box spring and I was bummed that the tucked in sheets hung down through the slats of the frame. These boards fixed everything and the mattress is much firmer and will last longer. I bought the 1.5 inch rather than the .75 inch. Very glad I did. On another note, the UPS delivery was awful. Box torn open and laying on its side despite the outside saying "this end up" with arrows going the wrong way. Hoping that the manufacturer reads this.     • Day 1 - Does What It’s Supposed To
Huge box (queen) arrived today, but not too heavy for its size. It comes in two pieces split vertically down the middle. I have a wooden bedroom set from Bob’s, so it looks nice but it’s cheaply made. The horizontal slats have either come loose on one side, don’t all have a stand for support, or are just so cheap you could break them in half over your knee. My mattress is less than a year old so I shouldn’t be in this much pain when I wake up in the morning. I lifted one side of the mattress, slide the board under, then repeated on the opposite side. Fits perfectly. I jumped on my bed and finally realized what my mattress SHOULD have felt like from the beginning. Supportive, and the same level of firmness that I expected when I purchased it. My dogs, 20-25lbs, jumped on the bed and I didn’t realize it because the mattress didn’t bounce up and down slightly like it usually does. So far so good. ... show more

The product is well made and will hide the slates, but I need to add a filler in between the two. The actual measurements are: 59 3/8 wide together, 79 2/8ths long. Elderly Mother's bed was too high for her with a twin 6" boxspring and a mattress with a 2" latex pad. I removed the boxspring ordered two of these 1.5" bunky boards and it is the perfect solution! This went onto the new Bed frame beautifully. It does travel a tiny bit, but that's a quibble, nothing to lose a star over. I'm really glad this is as low profie as it is, because if it were any higher, I'd get a shave from the ceiling fan!

Ordered this for a full size mattress but did not use it as the slats were too far apart for good support. There were only 7 slats (including the end frame) and a full size mattress should have 12 - 13 slats.
