I wasted my money on cheaper ones until I bought this one. It's almost too powerful. The first time I used it half the liquid in the cup went flying all over the place. It's at least three times as powerful as the other two I bought. Unfortunately I didn't save the packaging or I would return the others. THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST POWERFUL "FROTHER/BLENDER" of this style on the market. They are being truthful about it being powerful. I almost wish it had a low speed mode. I only review products I love or hate. This is one I love. BTW a family owned business makes these. I like that as well. 6 stars if I could. DON'T TRY TO SAVE $5 by getting a cheaper one. I wasted almost $30 on two frothers, neither of which are nearly as good as this one I could have purchased an extra one of these and have money left over if I hadn't purchased those other cheaper ones. Any frother that uses ONE AA battery is junk. Two batteries can provide 4 times the power, and that sounds about right based on the ones I own and use. If all you really use this for is to froth milk in your coffee, I'd recommend one that costs $10. But my main use is preparing protein shakes using milk and protein powder. This works MUCH better for blending because of the speed and power. This one has a high RPM AND a lot of torque, even when it slows down from the resistance of blending. The other ones I purchased are lower RPM and it's much more difficult to stop this one than any of my others. The others I own just stop when they hit something thats not liquid. They're useless for anything other than frothing liquid. In all fairness, they do call them frothers, so they do what the manufacturer describes, but they don't blend very well if at all. This one does both. I also can't speak about the rechargeable kind. I suspect the same applies - you get what you pay for. There are some very inexpensive ones and some higher priced ones. I would buy one of the more expensive ones. If I purchased a rechargeable inexpensive one I would save all packaging materials so that I can return it if it's too weak to function as a blender for my protein shakes. I'm also considering buying a AA size batteries that output double the voltage of normal AA batteries. It will definitely increase the power. The only concern there is breaking them. - but the alternative is being useless so I really have nothing to lose. These are great little devices that make everyday life a little easier.

The Zulay Kitchen frother is incredibly powerful for such a compact handheld tool, it froths milk in seconds and gives my lattes and cappuccinos that perfect café-style foam. It even came with 2 Duracell batteries, so it was ready to go right out of the box. It’s super easy to use—just press and hold the button and it goes to work immediately. Cleaning it is a breeze too: I just rinse the whisk under warm water and run it for a second to spin dry. The build feels solid, and I love the sleek black design, which looks great in my kitchen. The product is amazing, but I had to contact them when my frother had some operational issue and they kindly assisted and sent me a replacement. When I first received this frother, I was very happy with it, other than how challenging it is to get the batteries in and out. There is no spring mechanism, and the batteries are a very tight fit. The little piece of ribbon helps, but I was worried it would pull loose and then there would be no way to remove them. I.had trouble with my original frother within a month. First, it started draining the batteries extremely quickly (I had to replace them weekly, and the power got very weak toward the end of the week), and then the push button to operate it stopped working consistently. I had to push on one specific edge to get it to operate, and even then, there was no controlling the power level. It wouldn't work, then would blast on at full power, flinging hot liquid everywhere. I contacted the company, and they were extremely responsive. They asked me to try replacing the batteries and ensuring they were installed in the correct direction. Once I confirmed it, they immediately sent me a new frother, which arrived quickly with a nice note thanking me for giving this small, family owned business a chance to make it right. The first one must have been a dud, because I've now used the new frother daily for a couple of months on the original set of batteries with no reduction in responsiveness or power. I am very pleased with the second frother. It quickly whips up a nice froth and works great to blend things into my coffee. The shape feels good in my hand, and I can easily control the speed of the whisk with how firmly I press the top button. I would recommend giving this frother a try!

i bought this for my wife and i dont drink coffee but i have bought her some of these but cheaper junk ! this thing has some power!!! it is nice and the unit takes 2 aa batteries and i like that so your not using 20 different charge cords around the house , i could not say how long it lasts but its quality made and durable so i think we will get 2-3 years out of it as long as it stays clean and dry .

When the hand held frother arrived i put the batteries in and it turned on immediately and wouldn't turn off. I called the customer support on the box and they immediately said it wasn't supposed to turn on once the batteries were inserted and sent me a new product!, It arrived fast and had a personalized thank you note for purchasing from them!
