This is a very convenient product, wish I knew about this 2 years ago… anyway I got it and tried it out this evening. I love going to the sauna and I can say I had a good experience with this. I did not have to put any Albolene on my skin at all to get the Sweating going. I put my soon to be 2 yr old to bed, put this thing together in mins, plug it in and it was ready. I put the chair in and put a towel on the chair and one covering the foot pad. I had my under clothes on and some socks and got in it was very hot at this point. Everything was wet in 30mins of being in this product. I stayed in for 40 mins and I felt great. I did not have the over eating fatigue I normally have in a traditional sauna…I could feel my heart rate increasing and it was an amazing feeling at this point, feeling the water just falling off my body. I could have stayed in longer but I knew I was going to wake up and start my new routine in the morning. Sauna 2 times a day 1 hr in this product in the mornings 1 hr in a portable steam sauna in the evenings I took a regular shower and at the end a very cold shower to finish off. I feel very blessed to have found this product, no need to look for a baby sitter to go to the sauna anymore. We ordered this for our son to help him cut weight during the wrestling season and it works GREAT for that, but what I didn't realize is how much I would use and enjoy it! I get in two or three times a week to help recover from the gym and to just relax and it does wonders for my body and piece of mind! I purchased this infrared sauna in hopes of helping with my arthritis pain and circulation issues. I researched infrared saunas prior to purchasing and found many articles that claimed these saunas also burn calories. I bought the sauna about a month ago and have only used it 4 times. The set up was easy and quick. I did find the chair to be very uncomfortable (if you are a big person like me, it will be too small). I replaced the chair with a beach chair that we already had on hand. I enjoyed sitting in the sauna much more. I am tall and felt like the neck hole is too far front for me personally, but that may be due to the chair exchange. This may not happen to everyone. I do get pain relief when I use the sauna, but it actually makes my swelling worse. It is probably because I do not drink enough water (yes I know). But to my surprise, I actually felt like I had done a workout! I have only been able to stand it up to 30-40 min so far, but plan to use more and work on getting up to an hour. But even after only using it for 30 min, I was sweaty and felt the same way I do after I have worked out! I cannot say whether or not I burned any calories because how do you verify that? I am happy with the purchase and will continue to use it. ... show more

Initially worked fine. Now temperature won’t reach above 125 degrees even after waiting 20-30 min. Zipped completely up. Only used maybe 6 times and want 140 degrees. Careful the inside of 2 way zipper gets hot and can burn you if not careful. I may get in it 1-2 times a month as I need the higher temperature. Already returned one before. I was super skeptical about this at first. I was scared to spend the money on something I wasn't 100% on but I will say that I am happy that I bought it. I got this on a Thursday and have used it twice a day since. My body feels refreshed after sitting in it and taking a shower. Love it

Pro: the sauna does get up to 136-138 no problem. It does get toasty inside. Unfortunately, there are way more constant cons on this model. Cons -- First, there is a strong chemical smell when first turned on. Actually, the smell has yet to go away when I turn it on. It's awful. The combination of chemical and burning rubber smell. It can't be healthy. -- second, the chair that comes with it, it's more of a child's chair. I'm five foot seven and I am extremely uncomfortable on the chair. The chair seat digs into my thighs and the chair back only goes up to right under the bra strap. Very uncomfortable to sit on it--you have to have great posture--not possible to slouch. -- which brings me to the third problem. Because the chairs back only goes up halfway, it leaves your back completely exposed to the back of the sauna where one of the heating elements are. Sounds like a good problem, but in reality, your back is too close to the super hot element. In theory, you should be able to move the chair up to get away from the back. Which brings me to the fourth problem. -- the size of unit. I am 5 foot 7 and really, the unit is a touch too small for me to sit comfortably. I personally would not recommend it for anyone above five seven. Someone that's 5 7 may be able to do it if they have short thighs, otherwise no. -- the last problem is the biggest deal killer for me. Look at the attached photo. You can see the sides are folding in. There is no mechanism to hold up the sides or push them back out. That means when I'm sitting in this tiny little baking chamber, the burning hot sides are trying to rest on my arms. There is no way to get away from the sides or prop the sides back up that I found. So i am twisted like a pretzel to try to key my arms away from sides. It is very uncomfortable. As a result, while I love the concept of this sauna, it is getting shipped back the Amazon. In my research since buying this sauna, there are other portable saunas that have a larger footprints that are within $50 of this price range. If you're a taller or larger person, I recommend that you look at those options. If you're shorter than 5 foot 7, and don't mind a strong smell which may dissipate within a number of uses, the sauna might be the one for you. ... show more
