Update: I changed my rating from one star to five stars. I unscrewed the filter from the pitcher and screwed it back, as tight as I could. TDS meter was zero, and water-flow through the filter was just like I am used to, slow. The filter works fine, I wish I could say the same for me. Original Post: Just opened the box I received in May. Already tried 2/3 filters and they do not work. My TDS reading directly from the tap is 195, the lowest reading so far from the new filters is 110 (they have always been zero right out of package. They've changed the packaging, so instead of a screw-on cap to the filter they now have a foil film that indicates the filter is now pre-rinsed. I am pretty sure the third filter will be defective too, since the water flow through these filters is much quicker than before. I am past the return date and for a price of $50 for 3, while "saving" money on the subscribe and save option, these are too expensive not to get what you expect. ... show more

Each filter lasted me around 3weeks each using/drinking 60-80 oz of filtered water per day by refilling 64 ounce empty Califa almond “milk” bottles. When I notice that I am having a hard time finishing my 18 ounce water bottle, it’s usually because of the taste. I have been using zero water for about 10 years. And while I don’t know whether the FDA actually ever approved there TDS claims, the fact is that I drink more water using there are five stage filters over any home refrigerator filters. This also includes the filtered water I use for making coffee, tea, and cooking with. I gave up on the small water pitchers that zero water makes and keep the white filter retention piece with lid that you pour tap water into and let the water funnel down through a brand new oil filter, funnel with a small air hose going into a cap of one of these bottles. (See photo) while it looks like a science experience in my kitchen, the fact remains that these filters get me drinking more water. ... show more

I’ve been using a Zero Water pitcher for years. I got it in Costco. I been buying the filters here on Amazon since I have had the pitcher. These aren’t cheap, but you do get a better price buying the 12 pk. They work well, although I wish they didn’t get that nasty fishy taste when it is time to replace one. I have a refrigerator that has the filtered water. I changed the filter out every six months like you're supposed etc..... But for some reason there was just a taste to the water from the refrigerator that I couldn't get passed. So I decided to try a filter that you fill up the water yourself. And I got the mediums size zero water filter. And the taste of the water is so crisp, so fresh. I love it, the only thing that somewhat suck is if you don't rinse the top of the filter with hot water then it slows down how long it takes to fill the next time. So that's why I say “somewhat sucks” clearly if it's that clogged to where it takes forever to fill again then it truly is removing all of the led and bad toxins etc.... From tap water. I have been using my zero water, water filter for about two years and ill never go back or switch to any other type of filter. I drink so much water now. Which is amazing because I used to have to force myself to drink water. Now I pretty much only drink water. I hope my review helps anyone else who is trying to decide what system would be best for them. Just remember what I said “RINSE THE TOP OF THE FILTER WITH HOT WATER FOR ABOUT 5-10 seconds. You do not have to unscrew it from the water catch. You'll thank me later lol plus it extends the time on each filter. ... show more

For the convenience and price this is a steal. I live in las vegas and get my water from the sink. Using these filters with a 6gallon water dispenser is such a life saver, literally. The only annoying part is installing the filter which could take like 30 minutes, its not a huge deal but when you are thirsty it feels long.
