Assembly wasn't bad. One person can do it, but I do recommend two. I have seen temps as high as 550 on a warm day, which is great for searing steaks. On a cool day more like 475-500, which is still better than other pellet grills I've had. Have also done a 16 hour pork butt with great results. Grill does a great job of maintaining temp and recovers quickly. No complaints at all at this point. Picked it up for $400 as a black Friday deal. Worth every penny. ... show more

    • Easy assembly - heats up and works like it should - so far so good.
The assembly was easy. The instructions are pretty clear. Follow the first lighting sequence and you'll have no problems. I'm moving from a propane cabinet style to this style. The cabinet actually has more cooking area but the layout limits the size of each shelf. The propane also makes temperature control difficult during windy days or days that start cool and get up to the 100's. The temperature gradually varies as the ambient conditions change. I went with the electric in hopes that the electric temperature control will mitigate these issues. Several months of use will be the test. ... show more

Overall great grill. I have had no issues with it. The assembly is much easier if you get some help, all the parts fit well. I am learning how to cook better on it as it's my first pellet grill but so far so good. I had to contact customer service by email due to me not reading the instructions correctly on start up and the response was fast and accurate. It seems to hold temp well. Love it. ... show more

If Zero was an option I’d pick that. Was sent to me with a faulty ignition rod it worked for 2 cooks then cut out in the middle of a brisket cook. I’m out all the money for my brisket my family’s entire day has been ruined and z grills solution is to send me a new ignition rod and a cheap cutting board as an apology. I’m out at least $100 dollars today and z grills could care less. I didn’t pay them with broken dollars. Could not be more disappointed or upset. Update The grill turned on once. After that it would not ignite even done manually. When contacting the seller they said they would send a replacement part a cutting board but not pick up the item. They didn’t send either. After that they said we had to go through Amazon to receive a refund or send it back. Amazon said it had to be through the seller. Once Amazon was told the seller wasn’t helpful they reached out to the seller. The seller then responded asking for videos of it not working. When told no we just wanted it picked up and refunded because we’d be trying for two weeks to get help. They responded with it would be a lengthy process to get the grill picked up because it was put together then it would take them time to get it to the warehouse then take it apart and examine it. Once reported to the bank then they decided to approve the return request but didn’t give us any idea of how to get such a large item picked up. ... show more

Got this model and then ordered the WiFi controller and installed it. Works beautifully. First item was beef brisket (from Costco) and it turned out perfectly. Followed the Z Grills recipe fairly closely. This item took about 40 minutes to assemble (not including wifi upgrade which was about another 30 minutes, but would be less if you did the whole thing at once).
