These were very fairly easy to install. I put them on our metal door. The screws that came with it would be fine for wooden doors. I needed a more sturdy screw to be able to get into our metal door: Easy to remove curtain for washing/changing out.

This has been kind of a pain. It works but I find myself reattaching the pole every day because it comes disconnected quite often. It's like it's like the pole doesn't stay one tight because of the swivel.
