First of all, I think this has to be one the easiest chairs that I've ever assembled. It look all of 5 minutes to put it together--just put the casters on, screw the plate onto the chair seat and then insert the seat into the central pole and you're good to go. I found the chair to be comfortable. The shape of the seat and the back are such that it feels pretty ergonomic and comfortable. It does feel a bit light on the padding, though, and so I worry that it can result in some numbing of the butt/thighs after prolonged sitting. The chair is comfortable for me, but I'm 5'5". I selected this because it does not have arm rests. This is a firmer cushion than most chairs, but is comfortable and I had no issue sitting in it all day at work. The only con is that back is lower than most chairs. Or maybe I'm just used to high back chairs, so I found myself slouching alot. Adjusts up and down smoothly. Looks very nice and seems to be of good quality. Rolls nicely. The design and variety of colors are good but this chair feels overpriced for what it is. The compact size and thin padding makes it best for a child or small adult. PROS -Looks good. The bucket shape and vertical lines are attractive. I have the black color which is fine but is a bit boring. There are a lot of other color options which is nice. -Compact and minimalist which are good features if you are trying to fit this into a small area. -Very easy to assemble. CONS -Faux leather quality isn't impressive. It feels like spongy foam and nothing like real leather. -Adults probably won't be comfortable with this chair for long periods because of the short back height, lack of armrests, and thin padding. -Reclining causes some imbalance and it feels like you will tip over. The spring tension means you can't stay in a reclined position unless you have a footrest. ... show more

I really like the way these chairs look, and I'm genuinely impressed at how comfortable they are for the price, but right now, the smell is too much. Assembly is reasonably easy & straightforward. There's really only two leg pieces that need to be fit together and bolted into the seat; my 8 year old was able to do one of the chairs while I did another. There's some tolerance allowed in the assembly, so don't tighten one bolt down until they're all partially installed; situate the legs just right, then tighten everything together. I didn't have any issues with the parts included, but I appreciate that there were a few extra bolts and extra leg adjustments provided; I didn't need any of these, but I greatly appreciate the forethought to include spare parts. Fully assembled, the chairs look just as good as they do in the stock photos; I thought the stock photos made the chair cushion appear almost cartoonish (in a good way), but that's just how (good) it looks. The grey-colored polyurethane (PU) covering has a pleasing matte finish , almost as if it's cloth. The black (powder coated?) finish on the chair legs is also subtly textured to be more diffuse than reflective. Put simply: the chairs look great. As for how they feel, I'm genuinely impressed. By the time of this review, I've sat in one of the chairs for about a total of 12 hours (for desk work), and it's been nearly as comfortable as my dedicated, configurable task chair. The chair curvature seems to fit my body very well, and the shape is pretty rigid and inflexible, but in way that is solid & supportive, rather than uncomfortable. The presence of the cushion may be why it feels comfortable; I like the firm, supportive chair, but the modest cushion is just right: it keeps the experience from being fatiguing, but isn't so plush as to be obnoxious or lounge-like. Of course, chair fit & comfort is quite personal, so YMMV. Unfortunately, I'm smell-sensitive and there is a petrochemical smell to both of these chairs. I can't smell it at a distance of 3-4 feet or more, but when you're close (i.e., actually sitting in the chair), it's faint yet ever-present. I think it's off-gassing from the polyurethane, though at one point I also thought it might be some oil or treatment on the metal. It's a smell vaguely reminiscent of other petrochemical products like WD-40 or similar oils. I'm hopeful it will off-gas completely with time, but it hasn't diminished enough (if any) within 24 hours of opening the delivery package. I have wiped down all surfaces with a bit of dish soap and water, but that hasn't helped, either. If you're smell-sensitive, consider a warm'ish space with good airflow and allow these to off-gas for some time before using it, or consider a different product. At $260 for two, or about $130 each, these are beautiful chairs at a reasonable price. My wife has a lot of experience in high-end, commercial furniture--and while this isn't that, and you should be aware you're still going to "get what you pay for"--these have, at least, met with her approval for this price-point. ... show more

Prior to get this exceptional office chair, I previously had one that I purchased from one of the brand named big box stores, and needless to say the quality and durability of it just wasn't there. However with this new height adjusting, extremely comfortable chair, I am able to sit comfortable for hours on end doing tasks at my desk, without the follow-on affects of back pain from sitting too long, or having a sore buttocks. The materials used in the construction of this seat are very durable, and will stand up to extended use throughout the lifespan of this very well made chair. I am very happy with it, and I feel very comfortable in recommending it to others. The YOUNIKE Office Chair is a comfortable and supportive seating option for those who need to frequently get in and out of their chair while working on projects that require arm movement. Unlike chairs with arms, this one leaves your arms free without sacrificing support or comfort. It's a perfect sewing room chair because I can easily swivel the base around to access my iron before turning back to my sewing machine, and back to sewing for more hours of comfortable sitting. I've found it works well as a painting chair for sitting at the easel , too, and the chair is still comfy after many long work sessions. The metal base with casters glides easily across the floor without any wobbling or sticking. It has adjustable height so I can select a good working height for the task at hand..
