    • Very beefy bike rack
We needed a new bike rack for our 2 new E-bikes. The old one just didn't have enough space between the cradles. This rack serves the purpose very well. I like steel when it comes to bike racks and this rack has that. Its very well made and it is heavy, but I don't mine that. I store it close to the vehicle so its installed easily and I know its not going to fall apart. I did have to widen one of the pre-drilled holes in order to get one of the bolts inserted but it was no big deal. The cradle bars don't seem to be as long as some and we have full size E bikes but they still fit. The rubber ratchet straps work nicely but I do wonder how long they will last before they have to be replaced with new ones. Overall very pleased with this rack. ... show more

    • This is NOT an Aluminum Bike Rack - - it is HEAVY STEEL Frame with Aluminum Runners...
This unit is advertised as an ALUMINUM Bike Rack... the entire frame is Heavy Steel, and only the runners are aluminum. You can't use a locking pin to lock it to your car, via the hitch, because they put a threaded bolt in the hitch pin hole, preventing the use of a standard locking pin. Rack is very nice, but very heavy and awkward because of the use of heavy steel. ... show more

    • Safe, capable carrier
This Young carrier is designed for heavy duty ebike hauling. It unpacked a few lockwashers and one screw missing. Luckily I had those, but everyone might not. The instructions are somewhat vague, but I managed to get it assembled correctly the first time. The fit to my hitch is great, leaving plenty of room between the bike and SUV I use for hauling . The complaints about bolt location at the carrier/hitch connection point, I overcame by using a short extension, which provides another pin hole which can be used for a locking pin. The foldability works flawlessly, aided by the handle. And the extra bolt that prevents accidental tilts, is great. I thought the price provided excellent value for a top end carrier. If stored in the folded position using the photos in the instructions, all parts are secured and won't bang into your vehicle. It's a little heavy, but still easily popped into the receiver. If you want to leave the rack on your car when you do not have bikes on it, the vertical (middle) bars do not lock in place and will move in transit (hit your car) unless you fasten them to the rack base somehow. This is a MAJOR design flaw unless I am doing something wrong. The rack folds up nicely, but again the middle bars cause an issue as they stick out horizontally about 6-10 inches past the side of my car on both sides. I also had to go out and buy a 24 mm wrench and a 10mm allen wrench. They are not terribly common sizes and were not included and this rack was not cheep. It says the rack is for a car or SUV, but cars and SUVs are not that wide. For some unknown reason, half the hitch pin has threads (like a screw) but you can slide part of it through and secure w a cotter pin on the end. 🤷🏼♀️ The rack seems like it is sturdy w nice easy to use straps and will haul my bike securely, but there will be no leaving the rack on the back when I am not hauling my bike. I would not recommend this for a car or SUV. It would be great for on the back of a truck. ... show more
