Works really well. The hole is not quite big enough for a 4x4 post. Clean up easy with a post hole digger.

In needed to make some post holes for several projects. I hate digging post holes. I used this tool on a decent sized drill and found that it bores right in to make a 4 inch hole. Then I used a post hole digger to shave the sides to make a bigger hole... much easier than digging a virgin hole. So the process is auger, shave, repeat... makes your holes in no time with a lot less work.

We were installing some fence posts and needed a 10 inch hole. Using this auger, we drilled four holes in close proximity and easily removed the loose dirt with a post hole digger. It made the job so much easier!

Used this auger to drill ~30 post holes for a garden fence. This allowed me to bury 4x4 posts in the ground with enough wiggle room to add some gravel and some concrete for the gate posts. Using an electric plug in drill was necessary. My 18v cordless could move it but I could definitely feel it straining against the weight.
