    • Sturdy, tall, and well built
I've got a five year old with an unfounded obsession with battling and warfare, I'm pretty sure I am raising the reincarnation of Ares at this point. I needed a break from being pelted and beaten with foam weaponry so I ordered this as a distraction / "training dummy." It works great! Filled the base with water then used a mattress inflator to fill up the three compartments (the water-filled base needs to be topped off with air, then the middle stalk, finally the main punching bag area). I am very thankful that I wasn't trying to blow this up manually. Note: DO NOT try to blow this up manually, you'll pass out, it's too much air. When fully inflated it's like an immovable weeble-wobble. Not good for speed-based hits since it has a slow recovery time but great for a kid to slug around, either with or without the included gloves. Speaking of which, the gloves are decently padded, and more like sparring/mma gloves than boxing gloves. I will update this with longevity/durability reports but after a week it's still holding up despite being punched, tackled, and kicked by a frighteningly strong small child. It is sturdy enough -- and tall enough -- to accommodate a teenager as well. (I mean I'm 5'9" and it still is a good height, but it takes too long to get back upright after I hit it). Oh, and if you need to move it around it's got convenient carry handles on the base which are very helpful as it's pretty heavy when full. So far we're pretty happy with it!     • Needs sand weight at base
This is a very nice punching bag for kids. The included gloves are a very nice bonus. My niece attacks this with vigor and it holds up. She loves it. The only negative is the base is simply air and needs sand so that it will remain in the upright position.

    • You need an electric pump
I love the heaviness of this bag once the base is filled with sand or water. It is very stable and allows for almost all ages of children to punch or hit it without it toppling it. The bag takes a long time to fill if using a manual pump so I recommend using an electric pump. No pump is included and unlike the bop bags of the past, sand is not included. You may want to opt for sand from the store or to fill with tap water. Water can be risky business if you set this anywhere other than a garage or shed with a drain. Overall it is nice for exercise or reducing aggression because it helps with getting kids active At first there is a pretty strong PVC smell but after a full day inflated it seems to go away. ... show more

One day when we were working out my 11yr old son said I wish they made those blow up boxing things that inusefor adults The next day began my quest to find something along those lines and mission accomplished. This punching bag is well-made. The material seems to be strong and durable. The base is heavy and stable after being filled with water. You will need an electric pump to inflate the bag. It also comes with a pair of boxing gloves. This bag is tall enough for big kids. My 8-year-old likes it very much and has spent quite amount of time on it after I set it up. This is a fine bounce-back large punching bag that is great for kids who are taking martial arts, or just need to take out some aggression. It’s very stable but has to be secured at the base with sand or water—the sand is better. Upon arrival, it needs to be inflated and the best and quickest way is via an electric pump.
