I’m not going to lie, I didn’t have high hopes for this product after reading the other reviews. For that reason, I went with the standard punching bag in case it wouldn’t last long - being out of $50 is better than $90! But I really wanted to add this to my home gym for cardio days. I’m really glad I got this because holy hell this is a great workout! I’m still working on upper body strength, but my boyfriend also used this and he has a hell lot more strength than I do, and he loved it! He beat the crap out of it, which made me nervous after reading reviews that it doesn’t withstand heavy punches. To our surprise, it passed the test. Only complaint is that I had to adjust the pole during my workout, but my boyfriend didn’t think he secured it enough when he first put it together so I won’t deduct any stars for that. But overall, it’s great for everyone regardless of strength. You’ll be dripping sweat after doing this! My boyfriend is 6’1” and I’m 5’4” and neither of us had an issue with the height of the punching bag Update 3/1/21: So it's just under 2 months since I purchased this and it's already splitting apart at the seams. I've been the only one using it for the last 3 weeks so for it to come apart with my punches doesn't say a whole lot... this is definitely a fun product to have and share with friends/kids, but for using it seriously to workout? It was really easy to put together. My son loves it but its not hard to knock over even with sand in the base. You can put water or sand in the base. We put sand in it for it would have a heavier base. The gloves that came with it fell apart easily. So you'll have to buy yourself a better pair of boxing gloves if you want to use them. ... show more

This punching bag has been an experience since it arrived. First, I struggled setting this up. It was super confusing, but I’m also not great at building things so that could just be on me. I’ll take the heat there. However, once I managed to somehow get the punching bag set up, blowing up the punching bag was awful. I literally sat through an entire hour long episode of a kdrama attempting to get any air into that thing. It was a failed attempt. I finally asked my husband to do it even though I really wanted to prove I could do it on my own. He was able to get it blown up in less than five minutes. Maybe it was human error yet again. Alas, it added to this crazy experience. Finally, it’s almost completely ready to start taking some punches. I decided to fill the base with water. Once filled I plugged it close and it was ready to be punched. I gave it quite a few punches between then and today, but then the whole stand came out of the base. I don’t think it’s broken, but now I will find out if my final punch was fatal to the poor punching bag. If so, I think I’ll need to upgrade. Easy to put together. I haven't had any problems, but I'll try to post an update in a few months. If it helps this more a 'reflex bag' rather than a 'punching bag'. It's not meant to be hit hard. If you're looking for something to pummel or to work out your frustrations, this is not what you need. It is giving me a cardio work out and I'm learning punch combinations. This was a Christmas gift. First, the base leaks when filled with water. However, we could still use. The the pole snapped from the base so this is effectively trash. Very disappointing and apparently not able to be returned. I would not recommend.
