Grabbed this as I was looking for a charger that would also charge LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries. I am converting all of my 12 or 24 volt systems from lead acid to the newer chemistry batteries. LiFePO4 batteries need different charging parameters than the old standard lead acid type. These newer chemistry batteries will become the dominant replacement for lead acid types, as they are lighter, safer, longer lived, and have higher energy density for size than the older technology. Originally price was limiting factor, but they are now becoming price competitive. This one also does 24 volt applications as well as 12 volt, which I needed for a mobility scooter conversion from lead acid to LiFePO4 batteries. There were several chargers presented on my Amazon search, but this one seemed to be the best overall based on price, power, and features. It did not disappoint, and works well. It has several features useful for charging, maintaining and in some cases restoring lead acid batteries which will still be around for a while. It also has the added capability of charging and maintaining the newer LiFePO4 batteries. Operation is simple and straightforward, and the charger has “idiot proof” protections built in. Can’t go wrong.

I used this on a battery that was dead for three years. Believe it or not the dang battery is working! Never had to recharge since. Wonderful product saved me from purchasing a new battery. If you can't afford the more expensive ones I recommend this charger for value,readability and it works.

Seems cheap with the brittle ABS plastic housing, but it is compact and works. Keeps my van battery topped off and also conditions it to hold a charge better. Easy to use and it takes up little storage space. I gave 4 stars due to the fact that there is no real shock absorption to it. If you drop it, it will may crack due to the brittle plastic used. Should have rubber bumpers or something. At least it isn't heavy.

I generally have low expectations for tools that I buy off of online unless it’s from a place that is a real tool manufacturer and not Amazon or Walmart . In any event this, if we exceeded my expectations, I did a really good job of recharging a battery that I thought was dead and would not be salvageable. It also works really fast on another vehicle that I had that the battery went dead and got it up and running in about 15 minutes on a really cold winter morning so I was very happy about having this available to use. I think it was worth the money because it saved me replacing battery and it also saved me from having to call and get a jump for another battery that was frozen so I am happy with this purchase and feel like I got value for my money. It’s also very quiet , I’ve had charges that are really loud so I was happy with this. I recommend it.

This is a great charger. Longer cables than previous models. The recovery/repair mode worked surprisingly well to bring back 3 severely discharged batteries that I thought would never be usable again. One battery was too far gone and couldn’t be repaired. But the other 3 are back up to where they should be and taking a charge like normal. $35 dollar charger versus $400 in battery replacement cost is a no brainer. My regular car charger doesn’t have repair mode and could not charge the batteries. (They were too discharged) This was my first time using a charger that has repair mode and I am sold!!

We have a car that rarely gets driven. I replaced its dying flooded lead-acid battery with an AGM unit. But recently the new battery needed a charge too, and my old smart charger couldn't even see it -- so I bought the Yonhan. This device has several good features -- readable and informative real-time display, ability to handle several battery types including AGMs, etc., But two main problems prevent me from recommending it. 1) It appears it was unable to reach 100% charge on the AGM; 2) the totally inadequate user's guide has zero information about how to use it to charge AGMs, Here's what happened. I hooked up the Yonhan to my battery (still in the car), selected the charge mode for LifePO4 batteries, which the booklet says should be used for AGMs as well, and went away. After 8 hours of charging, the display still did not indicate full charge -- it just flashed back and forth between 75% and 100% as it had been doing for some time. (When I disconnected the AC supply the display did read 100%, however.) It never did switch automatically to trickle mode. The booklet explained none of this, and there seems to be no information on line either. Questions that need to be answered before this charger is useful include: 1. Even though this is an AGM battery, since it's in a car, was I supposed to select "CAR" mode instead of "LifePO4?" 2. Should I have waited for a solid 100%? Will it even reach that level with an AGM car battery on "LifePO4" mode? 3. Is a trickle stage available when charging in "LifePO4" mode? Or must you switch to "CAR" mode for trickle? 4. Is it normal for the charger to not reach 100% during operation, then display 100% when disconnected from AC power? What does that mean? Once Yonhan gives buyers adequate information on how to use this charger, I'm prepared to give it more stars. Until then, you're buying a puzzle, not a tool.

For the price, I was surprised at all the features this unit offered. Even one for battery restoration. It doesn't have instant start but I can't imagine anything else they missed. It is very easy to use, my grandmother could have charged her battery with this one.
