First impressions of Yeewhale Floor Lamp 12W RGBW Color LED Floor Lamp Room Reading Lamps APP Control 360° Adjustable Standing Tall Lamp When I first ordered this lamp, I was only looking to add some color and pizazz into my lighting. What surprised me was the versatility of this lamp. Let me explain. This lamp comes in sections that you need to assemble. There are 3 interchangeable tube sections that you connect together, in any order, and then connect to the base. There is a spotlight head which caps the end of the tubes to give you a finished look. The tubes and the spotlight head can ratchet swivel around the base in a 360 degree manner. Each tube can point in an independent direction. You can use 1, 2, or all the tubes. If you want a shorter lamp, you don’t have to use all the tubes for this to work. In fact, a single tube could easily work as a table or desk lamp. The base is fairly small, which can be a benefit, if you plan to place this lamp in a tight space. However, a small base can also make this lamp a little wobbly on carpet - so it’s best to place this lamp in a spot that pets or people won’t be bumping into it. The spotlight cannot be controlled with the app or remote. When the spotlight is pointed straight up, the light is turned off. As soon as you tilt the spotlight at an angle, the light will turn on. The light is a very narrow spot, and, to me, has limited use. The lamp is powered by a wall wart plug. The printing on the plug says 15 watts max, however, on my watt meter, I registered up to 18-19 watts. The tubes use the “most” energy and the spotlight only draws an extra 1 single watt. The energy usage is what I consider, thrifty - since once upon a time, not too long ago, we commonly used incandescent light bulbs of up to 100 watts. A typical 55 inch TV might draw 90-200 watts and a common consumer laptop might draw 30-200 watts, as a comparison. The lamp can also “dance” to the beat. There is a sensor that listens to music or sound and depending on the effect you choose will illuminate in a certain fashion. You can also use your phone as the “ears” which will cause the light to react. The built-in sensor does not have sensitivity controls and unless the music was fairly loud, the lamp wouldn’t react. The smartphone app connects to the lamp via BlueTooth. The app has many additional dozens of patterns, compared to the remote, which you could apply to the light. There are also user customization options. The plastic tubes plug into each other and fit fairly snug. I had very little play and all tubes stood up very straight. The fit, finish, and feel was above my expectations - I thought everything fit nice and tight. When I was shopping this item, I really only looked at it as a color projecting lamp. However, when you turn the light color to white only, this lamp is very usable for general illumination. The fact that you can adjust the height of the lamp, rotate the tubes and spotlight head to suit your needs/preference, its thrifty electric usage, customize the colors, patterns, and brightness, and place it nearly anywhere – makes this a very versatile stick lamp. All this for a very affordable and reasonable price - 5 stars.

This is a fun floor lamp. Most of the colors are very rich, and the built-in patterns are fun. It was very easy to assemble and I don't think it will fall over even though it is made of lightweight plastic. The lights are bright enough to be noticeable in a large room or illuminate a half of a small room. One big plus for me is that this light will remember the prior setting when unplugged and go back once the power is on. This is great for switched outlets or using smart plugs, which I prefer because I don't need yet another app to control power on/off. I wish the remote would like you change colors. Having to use the (pretty terrible) app to do it is annoying, especially given the number of buttons already on the remote. Speaking of the app and features, the music mode is worthless. It flashes very annoyingly to the music, but the light itself does not have a microphone, so you have to use your phone. The sensitivity is way off, and the streaming music mode doesn't work with Apple Music very well. If the remote let you change colors and the music mode and app were better, I would rate this 5 stars for the value. As is, I think it is a solid 4 stars, again considering the value compared to other options.

Review for: Yeewhale Floor Lamp 12W RGBW Color LED Floor Lamp Room Reading Lamps APP Control 360° Adjustable Standing Tall Lamp for Living Room, Bedroom,Office This light is so easy to put together, I’ve reviewed several different floor lights similar to this style now. This is by the far the best one I’ve reviewed. Once I turned it on really reminded me of lightsabers that you click together, just missing the sounds… The packaging is also very nice, useful if you want to put this out for fun and back into its formed plastic. I like that there is a remote and app function, the remote works well but does not unlock all the features, will need to use the app for more fun. I like that this is modular, so you can have 1, 2 or 3 of these together. The light itself in the pictures looks black, mine looks more greyish. The light using the remote, has a couple of light features, that colors range in a rainbow RGBIC fashion which is expected in a light like this. The thing I don’t like are the intersections of darkness between the lights jointing areas, would be nice if it was one solid light. The remote could use a few more options, vs having to use the app. Overall 4.6 stars taking into consideration the products description, quality, features, value and cost currently at 39.99. Price is on point at 40. I do recommend this product, and would buy again the 40 range.
