Great purse for many different occasions!
I really like this purse. It fits comfortably on my back and was easy to travel with. The way the straps cross on the top when carrying make it a little more secure than other purses that don't do that. You do have to take a second to loosen them before opening but I don't mind. The straps are also adjustable. I really like the color and the purse fit nicely under the seat when flying. The leather isn't soft but it's not hard either. I would recommend!

Just about perfect
This is my favorite shoulder bag I've ever had. It's not absolutely perfect, but I'm giving it 5 stars because it's the closest thing to perfection I've found in years of searching. The best aspect of it is the elegant conversion between shoulder bag and small backpack. No extra straps hanging around, no buckling or clipping, just a fraction of a second to one or the other. I wanted a small backpack because of some shoulder issues, but also want to be able to have easy one-handed access to things in a shoulder bag with a reasonable drop length. This excels at that. I've searched all over for other bags with a similar strap setup, but this is the only one--at least at this smaller size--that I've found. Other aspects that are good: It's classy looking. The leather and overall construction are high quality. (I am getting a tiny bit of wear at the bottom corners, but that's natural and I will use leather care products to limit that issue.) There are a lot of pockets for organization. It opens wide and fits quite a lot of stuff, although I had to call on some Tetris-like skills to fit everything I wanted because of the compromise with smaller overall size. What's not perfect? Well, I probably would have bought a different color of leather and hardware if that had been an option. I also bought some purse charms to make it a bit less plain. More frustratingly, the front magnetic pocket is really tight, to the point that it's hard to get my relatively small cellphone in and out of it even when that's the only thing in there. A bit more give in the leather there would have been nice. But all in all, a very well-designed and well-made bag that I expect to use for a long time.

Wow! My new favorite purse.
I already have a convertible handbag to backpack that was nice and the right size but unfortunately, I should have gone with black rather than the stone gray which I regret. And I never loved that it didn't convert nicely into a handbag but always looked like a backpack pretending to be a handbag. In the market for a new one, I came upon this, read the reviews, bought it and, if first impressions are any indication, I am in love. It is perfect - the color, the quality, the design - converting fluidly and easily back and forth into a handbag to a backpack to a handbag and looks classy and smart AS A HANDBAG. I love handsfree, but sometimes, you need a cute handbag, and this is it my friends. It has a secure zippered pocket for the side resting on your back and a snap pocket in the front. It zippers open on three sides revealing very roomy open pockets, two zippered pockets and two open pockets. It is fantastic in both design and function especially if you just want to carry the basics and not the inside of your office drawers. Bravo Banuce! I am looking forward to using it and if it wears well and functions as well as it looks, I will update for a full report.

Very good bag for the essentials
I really want to write a meaningful review. I shopped for a good long time trying to find the perfect everyday bag that could also convert to a backpack when I need to be hands free - grocery store, framers market, etc. Based on the reviews already posted I found it difficult to understand the size of the bag. So I’ve included photos of what I carry in mine and then a photo with all the stuff in it to show how it fits. It all fits but the placing of the items in the bag is important. I had to strategically place them in there so that they all fit and I was able to zip the bag without it bulging. This is fine-there’s a place for all of it in there but it all needs to be in its certain place in the “bag puzzle” to work. No room for extras but it works for me. I guess it’s motivation to not carry extra junk around in my bag! Another thing I wanted to say was about the packaging. It had a lot of plastic around all of the straps and hardware. Not at all a bad thing as it is to protect it but it was a little frustrating liberating my new bag from its packaging. Last, and this was a bummer, there was a sticker on the front and when I removed it, it peeled off some of the finish on the leather. I have also attached a close up photo of this. Ultimately I wouldn’t return it for this because I figure eventually it’ll have dings and scratches from use anyway. But it was a bummer to have this happen before I even used it. Be very careful removing the sticker. I just casually ripped it off and I should have been more cautious. So that’s my review. I hope it’s helpful

Great leather purse!
Beautiful purse. It is similar to one I had purchased in Europe. The design is what I wanted as the straps on the purse crossover the purse opening when it is a backpack it is safe and not easy for someone to open. I love the design and it is classy. Used it recently for a wedding and I received a lot of compliments on it.

Scratches on "Leather"
I was impressed when it came. The craftmanship was good and the color was appealing. I have a similar bag which is practical especially when I travel to Europe. It deters thieves as they can't get into the criss-crossed straps. It also can carry a lot of stuff. I give it 3 stars because: 1)The quality of the leather. I think I may have read that it is Italian leather, but I don't see that on the actual item. I've only had this for a month and the scratches are are so visible. I am reasonably careful with my things, but if I need to constantly apply oil to maintain this, that translates to cost and time. 2) I wish that that since the zippers can reach all the way down, that it can be opened wider to easily view or find the contents.

Shoulder bag or Backpack - great to have both options
Didn't know I needed a backpack until I took my granddaughter to a museum and her mom gave me a cheap nylon backpack with extra clothes and snacks inside..(oh no I thought, another thing to carry). I had no choice but to stuff my small shoulder bag inside so I had only one thing to carry. I put the cheap backpack on and had the best day ever...what freedom to not have to worry about a bag hanging off my shoulder or crossbody (which I always found annoying). Well now I needed a nice leather backpack, and came across this convertible shoulder bag/Backpack...LOVE IT and LOVE the option! Beautiful Leather! and roomy too!! Give it a try, you will love it!!!
