The lamp was easy to put together requiring no tools. I put it together in my office in about 5 minutes. The height is perfect, and it is sturdy. I love the look and the fact that the bulbs are dimmable!!

It has features I didn't even know I wanted - the dimmable feature allows at least 3 functions - night light, TV viewing and working - in one. It transformed our mid century living room with its elegant and stylish tear drop cage - like shade and simple design that optimizes the light. Because our cats knocked down previous lamps, sturdiness was essential and was provided by the 7 lb base. Within 3 months I purchased a 2nd one for my office and then a 3rd for the bedroom. I charged two of the clear 6 watt bulbs with 2 amber colored 4 watt one. This created a unique ambience when dimmed that I immediately loved. This lamp is pretty slick. It looks good and it functions well. It was easy to put together and it's made out of quality material. It dims very well. I've gotten lots of compliments on it because it's a bit unusual, but also very stylish. The lamp wasn't expensive, but it looks expensive. My only complaint is that it's a little bit smaller than I would've liked, but I also have a huge living room, so that could be the problem. I might order a second one to balance it out. The media could not be loaded. This is a great floor lamp. It was super easy to assemble and looks great in our space. The dimmable function works very well — allows you to give off a very small amount of light, or you can turn it all the way up and brighten the entire living room. It feels very solid and I don’t think it will tip over easily. We got the matte black color and really like the way it looks.
