As a lamp (as opposed to full room lighting, it isn't bright enough for that), it is absolutely fantastic! I bought it on sale for about $60 after tax, and I couldn't be happier. The shade is super wrinkly, but it looks intentional when it's stretched out, and helps mask the frankly odd pseudo-fabric. It feels very waxy/plastic-y, and can not be washed (and probably should not be steamed, and DEFINITELY should NOT be ironed!). I wipe down the outside with a clean microfiber cloth, the inside I can reach most of easily with a microfiber dusting wand. Assembly was pretty simple, though stretching the top into place would have been easier with a second or taller person (I'm 5'3, I managed it on my own by holding it at an angle so I could see what I was doing, but having someone at the base to stabilize it at that angle would have made it much easier), and I did have a minor issue with one of the rods not slotting all the way into another, but it was far enough in that it was still stable and did not affect the rest of assembly, and is hidden by the shade. It took me a while to find the right method of syncing to wifi. The manual does say, but in an awkward spot which you may accidentally skip over since it's before the actual setup info. I didn't realize it came with a remote, but it has been great for my daily needs, since I mostly use it for different tones of white light depending on time of day, easily done via the remote without having to navigate through the app. The app itself is mostly decent, lighting patterns are nicely customizable, and I find it much easier to find the effects you want via the app than the remote (although there is a good selection available via the remote too), but it does occasionally freeze up for me. Nothing an app restart can't handle. Most of the lighting effects are very smooth, and for the ones that aren't, you can make very similar smoothed effects as custom modes elsewhere in the app. You do require an account to use the app, and you can technically use the lamp just fine without it, but you do lose quite a bit of the customization options by only using the remote. Haven't had any issues getting it to work with Google Home, either. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The assembly was very easy and quick, took me literally 5 minutes. Good color options from warm lighting to bright daylight (photos don’t do it justice) and I love that you can dim it to such a low light for night time. It has a foot pedal/button but the remote is so easy to use and so far I haven’t run into it not working from any distance or angle in my apartment. I do wish it was taller since it’s meant to sit on the floor but I’ll just find a low table to put it on. Very good product and worth every penny! A lot of other lamps like this that I looked at were cheaper, I went with this one hoping it would be good quality, but it’s not. Pretty cheap quality and material. It was also very difficult to put together the instructions and video that it provides are both different and doesn’t explain the assembly very well. Also I can’t get the lamp to connect to app (although that could just be a problem with my Wi-Fi). I will say once I assembled the lamp and turned it on it does look nice and the leds seem to work great. ... show more

This is a very good secondary source of light for a bedroom or gaming room. It really isn't bright enough to read next to, or anything similar, as the cloth cover mutes the light. Here, I would say that I was a little surprised at the brightness of the white light, in a good way. It's nice that it has an Alexa feature and the strip changes colors, even to music. Assembling this product, which arrived in a small box, took about 1 hour and would have been slightly less, were it not for tiny booklet-sized diagrams that weren't 100% helpful. For me, I would have appreciated an "exploded" diagram of all the pieces and how they fit together. Instead, I had to figure some parts out on my own. Some of the parts, like the light strip and cloth covering are delicate, so proceed with caution. One slight tug or bend on the light strip and it could be rendered useless. Since I just bought this, I can't say about overall durability but once the light strip malfunctions or ceases to operate, game over..... There is no replacement.
