What a great lamp! It fits most decors, is really easy to assemble, and is priced just right. My son's college apartment has no lighting other than harsh overheads, so this was a perfect addition for the living room area. He has the same lamp in his bedroom at home. He loves it for his new digs - he said it makes the space much homier. The 3-way light colors work well for different situations.     • Nice lamp, but no memory when turned off by footswitch

I bought this lamp specifically because of the footswitch. I will be taking it to my son's house to use in my grandson's baby room. The idea was to use the lamp in reading mode, switch to nursery mode, then use the footswitch to turn the light off. Then, during the night, if the baby wakes and needs changing, the footswitch can be used to turn on the nursery or sleep lighting. No can do. It always comes back at a specific (and fairly bright) factory setting when turning on with the footswitch. So the footswitch idea is out the window. Instead, the remote will need to be used to power the light on. It will remember your last setting when simply turning on and off using the remote. There are four preset settings, computer mode, reading mode, nursery mode, and sleep mode. IMO, nursery mode is too bright if you want to turn on a light in the middle of the night. I would use sleep mode, which is the warmest color temperature (yellowest) and the dimmest setting. Unfortunately the remote does not have glow-in-the-dark or backlit buttons, so you need to do it by feel in the dark. It is nice that the remote is magnetic, so you can stick it directly to the lamp pole at any desired height. It is very easy to assemble, took only 5 minutes. Some people have reviewed that the lamp looks funny. That is because they installed the upper lampshade mount upside down. The ring that attaches to the fixture should be inside the shade, not above it. The lamp has a heavy base that should keep it stable on a short-pile carpet or a rug. Perfectly fine on our Berber. It states that the lamp is dimmable down to 5%, which I find very hard to believe. The dimmest setting to me seems more like 20% or so. I think the lamp is very nice-looking, and when the shade is on the sleep mode will be fine for late night diaper changes. I am taking one star away because the lamp only retains its memory when powered (using the footswitch disconnects power, whereas the power button on the remote only works when power is applied (i.e. footswitch on). If it had memory, it would be perfect. Also, make sure you keep the instructions, because it tells you how to pair a new smart LED bulb to the lamp if you need a replacement bulb. ... show more

It was super easy to assemble (took me less than 10 minutes) and feels nice and sturdy once put together. The lampshade looks elegant and fits perfectly in my living room décor. I also really like the fact that it comes with different light color options, so you can switch between a warm cozy vibe or a brighter light for reading 📖 The design is simple but classy, and it gives off just the right amount of light without being too harsh. This really is a lovely lamp, very easy to assemble and emits a golden light that transforms any room into a welcoming, warm space. I especially like the foot-controlled on/off switch. Bought 2 of these, and then another. They are extremely well-packed, went together pretty easily after a quick read-through of instructions– shade is slightly fidgety to assemble, but IMO looks good when complete. Heavy base and rest of hardware is good quality, 2 of 3 were 100% straight, the other needed a small shim, but that might be my floor as much as the light. As others have mentioned, the foot switch is very lightweight (fights the cord to sit flat) but I'm using them with smart bulbs, so that's not an issue for me. Repurposed the included bulbs that came with them in an overhead fixture. Would definitely buy this light again and would consider the brand for other products going forward. ... show more

Nice tall lamp. Great for a simple yet sophisticated look the warm- cool 3 way bulb gives you 3 different lighting looks from warm cozy to cool reading light. The shade is nicely made and it is easy to put together. Im impressed , I was a bit sceptical if the shade came in a box it would dented , but its not.
