This yardmax log splitter is a beast! I am 69 years old. This bad boy made my project so much easier. I split 2+ face cords of ash (very tough hardwood) in two mornings. Very large diameter logs. My only regret is that I didn't have this wonderful tool years ago.

I have no idea if this log splitter works well or not because it arrived broken. Now, as you can see in the pictures, the cast iron piece of the motor that connects it to the frame was completely cracked. I have no idea how this can happen; I would assume it requires a major force to achieve this. The item was also leaking oil. Consequently, the machine was a dysfunctional piece of junk. Very disappointing -- I returned it at no cost (not an easy procedure!) and got a refund. ... show more
