  • RELIABLE AND STRONG
Size: 24 in
WORKHORSE. I got one of these from Amazon July 2017. As of today, it still runs like a champ. I have changed the oil yearly and never put ethanol tainted gas in it. I buy the cans which are expensive but well-worth preserving your equipment. I also clean and oil all bolts and moving parts. I broke the on and off switch a few years back and customer service was excellent and sent me the part and I had no trouble replacing it. This is probably the best buy of my life. • Five days for freight, easy to assemble, started on first pull, chucks snow over house. I'm happy.
Size: 24 in
I will start with my only complaint. There is an adjustment bolt that should be on transmission lever hookup that wasn't there. I have an extensive wood shop, but this is a metric bolt with an odd thread count. It took me an hour to find a satisfactory replacement. Other than that, it fit my exact needs, 2 cycle, 200+ cc, large tires, minimum 24". I live in the frozen tundra of central MN, and when my previous blower suddenly died, I needed to fill the need quickly as this winter is shaping up quickly to suck worse than usual. To my dismay, EVERY ONE of my local lawn care suppliers were sold out of all but the Cadillac models starting at $1400. I need this to move snow a couple times a month for an hour, I don't need a coffee warmer and heated seats. I am out there for an hour tops, and this thing chews up snow like Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Assembly took around 2 hours, but an hour of that was spent looking for a bolt, and at least 20 minutes was spent finding the next track on Spotify. With a little focus, this thing pops together in about 30 minutes. My favorite feature is the paint. I don't like it for aesthetic reasons, I like it because all the driving while texting drivers in my neighborhood can see me easily in their periphery. Also, its a fairly substantial machine, even if I were to get hit, the snowblower is exacting some form of revenge in body damage to that vehicle. Two year update: First off, YardMax support is legit. I called them about the missing adjuster bolt, and not only did they ship it lighting fast, but they sent me two packages of sheer pins, and, for some odd reason, an orange YardMax kitchen towel. My wife has pleaded with me to toss said towel -- as she puts it, "I will burn that thing if I see it hanging from the oven one more time." So far, she's all talk. Anyway, being Minnesota and all, we got 18 inches of snow in mid October. Welp, I took Whitney out of the garage and she started up on the first pull, once again. Folks, this thing ain't pretty, it's got no fancy doodads, but it is a freaking monster. Up here in southern Canada, reliability is Paramount, and this thing has it in spades. ... show more

  • Great value
Size: 24 in
This works great. It throws better than I expected & is quite solid. I opted for the known engine (lct) over an unknown to me one. I minused one star for the ease of breaking the shear pins, but this isn't a flaw. It threw heavy wet snow fine but clogged quickly however I don't see anything else working any better. I'd definitely recommend this blower. I can load it in my truck without assistance but wouldn't recommend it. Very pleased with price, delivery (no issues at all), & ease of operation. Recommend you have extra shear pins, it comes with two besides the installed ones. Took 30isher minutes to assemble, minimal tools. ... show more

24" model. Just a heads up the 24" model ships by freight. They have to call you to schedule an appointment. If I were to order one again I would call YARDMAX, don't email, and get a waybill number right away. Don't wait. The snow blower itself is excellent. I ended up having to pick mine up from CEVA and unloaded it by pushing it off my truck onto a snow pile. Everything was in good shape in the package and undamaged. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble, the most difficult being the chute flange/ retainers (really not bad). I did it in my driveway. It starts easily. The shifter leaver moves with little effort and all of the gear, positions, work. I use a Toro 724 at work and, to me, the YARDMAX throws snow further as well as cuts through large mounds of snow easier. I would buy this over a 724 even at the same price. Mine didn't come with oil and it needs a little choke on hot restarts. Pros: Light weight, metal chute, set throttle, great gas shut off valve location easy to start, throws snow almost too far, 7hp blower for $500 shipped! Cons: Metal snow blower shoes, ... show more

  • Great equipment but damaged in shipping and semi-long assembly
Size: 24 in
Works absolutely great! Have used for only one winter so far. I’ve used it in as little as a couple inches of snow to over 1 ft of snow and it has handled it great every time. The self propelled option makes it easy to blow. Turning the blower around takes a little muscle, though. My wife and I are able to still effectively use it. Assembly was long- about an hour but worth it. Worst part of all- the metal side walls of the base were slightly damaged (bent out) in shipping. I had to hammer both sides back in place to assemble correctly. Overall, still a great purchase for the power, efficiency, and price compared to local, more expensive purchases at all the local stores. For handy individuals who can tinker and want to save a little money, this is just fine and we’ll worth it. For those wanting little to no hassle, you may be disappointed. ... show more

  • Powerful Snow Blower
Size: 24 in
Buffalo NY resident (lots of snow). Bought this blower in 2018, 6 full winters. Still going strong, it impressed me from day one. The motor has plenty of torque to move through, not over the snow. Easily will move 6 to 8 inches of wet heavy snow. I added tire chains the 2nd year and it became a beast. It outperformed my neighbor's blower witch cost twice as much. I bought it because it was I could afford at the time. Ended up being one of those awesome buys. All I have ever done to it is: swapped out standard oil for full synthetic and have only added to it once a year. Change spark plug every 2 years. Keep it well oiled. Always Non-Ethanol gas, I add fuel preservative. Definitely would recommend! ... show more
