  • First impressions from use
Size: 20" 2.0Ah
I bought this snowblower because we have a Greenworks lawn mower and have loved it. I got the 80v snowblower even though our mower is 60v simply because it was a two month delay to try to get the 60v snowblower. This is probably my biggest frustration with Greenworks, the large number of different battery formats. OK, on to the review of the actual product. Keep in mind that I just got this yesterday, and have only used it a little bit (see a concern below). I was actually very impressed with the ability of such a small single-stage snow blower. I live in Michigan. We had just gotten six inches of snow the day before I got this, and had gotten six inches before that. When I cleared the light fluffy stuff in the driveway it worked through that part without any issue at all. It was fast and easy. When I got to the end of the driveway to clear out stuff that had been dumped by the snowplow (that gross, packed up heavy, yucky stuff), it cleared it like a beast. The biggest thing is that it did take a bit of effort to push the snowblower through it. I had used a two-stage Toro gas self-propelled snowblower in the past. This is not that type of snowblower. I had to work a bit to push it through. But it cut through that heavy chunky gross stuff without issue. I knocked down some of the pile on the two sides that had built up to clear it out and the snowblower got rid of that also. The 2.0 Ah battery is a bit lightweight. I had to charge it three times to finish everything (driveway, sidewalk, and approach to the house). But the battery recharged really fast (like under a half hour). I will eventually get a larger battery. The last time I went out was right after sunset. I knew it had lights on it, but I expected something of a token light. I was wrong. The lights are very bright, and I was able to see really well. It was amazing, and I will easily be able to clear snow in the early morning or late at night without issue. The thing is incredibly quiet. My older gas-powered snowblower was really loud (as you might expect). This thing was so quiet that I doubt people inside the house would even be able to hear it. My one concern is the setup for adjusting the direction of the snow chute. It works. I did not have any troubles at all. But it is mechanical, and feels weak and plastic. It might hold up better than I am expecting over time. However, if anything is destined to break with repeated use I would expect this part to be the issue. Only time will tell. I am not sure how that compares to any other snowblower in this size and price range, either electric or gas. But if they are going to beef anything up I think it should be this bit. All in all, this is an amazing deal, and I am very happy so far with it. I was a little worried on getting something so small and inexpensive. But so far I am very happy. ... show more

  • Excellent little snowblower, light and strong
Size: 20" 2.0Ah
This is an amazing workhorse, for an electric blower. 10/10, no notes, my MVP of the winter 25-26. It's chewed through everything from six fluffy inches to five wet, heavy inches, to an eight inch plow drift at the end of the driveway. It hasn't broken on hidden small branches, and it does my driveway plus the entire block's sidewalks in one charge. It's light enough for a 53 year old sedentary lady to lift and move around easily. The battery charges fully overnight, no issues. I will say, it was a bit of a pain in the butt to put together, because the instructions are dreadful. I mean, worse than the flatpack furniture instructions that don't have any text on them. It skips steps, doesn't show the right parts in any detail, and generally required you to turn things around a few times while muttering curses on the heads of really bad technical writers. But once together, it hasn't faltered once. ... show more

  • Decent blower but chute handle won't stay adjusted
Size: 20" 2.0Ah
First impressions after the first snowstorm with it: Assembly was easy enough but the instructions suck. Pictures are lacking and don't show the detail needed. I only knew to make sure the middle handle had the slot for the chute control facing downwards thanks to a review I read when choosing which blower to buy. (There was no mention of that in the instructions and it's barely visible in the pictures.) Battery life with the 2Ah battery was *almost* enough to do my 1-car driveway and sidewalk, with just a few feet left of the sidewalk. That was with about 6" of mid-weight snow, clearing ~16ft along the curb where it was deeper/heavier from the snow plows, and going a ways into my neighbors' sidewalks. Once I get the hang of it and remember to let it shut off while repositioning, it should have more than enough juice to do everything with some charge left. I bought an extra battery on general principle since I'll eventually get a mower to go with it but could get by without it. Performance was decent with the amount of snow we got and having ~4-5" left on the yard from another snowfall the previous week. It picked up and tossed the heavier stuff by the curb, chunks of ice, I even pushed it right up to the 10-12" piles along the side of the driveway and it didn't jam or stop. If you haven't used an electric mower/blower before, make sure to listen to it. You can hear when it's starting to bog down, telling you to slow down or let it "breathe" for a second. The only spot I had to back off or take narrower passes was in the really deep heavy stuff from the snowplow. It had no problem tossing full-width passes of the 6" stuff on the rest of the driveway and sidewalk. It left the pavement scraped clean for the most part which was nice. My only gripe, which docked one star (so far) is the chute adjustment handle does not stay put. When assembling and testing it out it works great, easy to turn side to side. Once you're actually using it, it's too loose and will not stay adjusted to point left or right. I ended up having to run it with one hand holding the chute adjustment handle down, otherwise it'd work its way back around straight and throw snow into the street, on my neighbor's car, or back onto the sidewalk I just cleared. I contacted support and they sent me instructions to take the housing of the unit apart and make sure the gears are aligned, but that's not the problem. The adjustment is too loose, not enough to hold it in place against the force of snow hitting the chute. I'll try it anyway, see if there's something that can be tightened, and see how annoying having to hold the chute handle gets as I keep using it this winter if not. ... show more
