I am a greenhouse owner and as you might imagine I use water hoses daily, year round. Most of the hoses you buy in the box stores are made of a stiff plastic/rubber material that only gets more stiff with age. Also, those hoses, when they kink one time you are left with a permanent area that will easily kink each time you use the hose. I decided to try this water hose and I’m glad that I did. It is wonderful! The hose is light and it isn’t stiff at all. The material is flimsy but tough, what you want in a water hose. The ends of the hose have hard collars that prevent the hose from kinking off if it’s pulled tight. The best part is the fact that if it kinks, it doesn’t leave a permanent area that kinks every time. Also, when a kink does form all you have to do is pull the hose slightly tight and the pressure difference will ensure that the kink pops out. I have this hose at one of my benches that has plants on it all year long. It gets used almost every day of the year. It also gets walked over as it lays in the aisle when not in use. None of that bothers this hose. It hasn’t degraded at all and it doesn’t seem to stiffen as it ages. The threaded connections at each end are made of a high quality metal. It’s also a solid connector piece that won’t leak like other hoses will. The orange color is nice, especially if you are afraid of someone tripping on it. It will also remind anyone mowing your yard that it is there in case you forget to roll it back up. I will certainly purchase more of these and I recommend that you do to if you need a water hose. Try it out! You’ll love it I’m sure.

The seller recommends "After opening the package, please put down the hose, connect it to the equipment and the open water faucet, then the hose will become straight under water pressure automatically." I deliberately ignored this because I wanted to see how kink and tangle resistant the hose is. The result was not immediately encouraging (see pictures). However, under pressure the hose will not kink and loops are easily straightened out. And I've noticed that after just a few uses it is behaving better. That said, it's not super easy to coil this on a hose hanger but with a little effort (and practice) it packages very well. At 75' it takes up half the space when coiled of the two 25' rubber hoses it replaced. And it is 1/3 the weight making it easier to move around. I don't know how it will stand up over time to being dragged around on asphalt. Not the decades the old rubber hose has I'm sure and I also don't know if pinhole leaks can be repaired with a splice. The best feature of the hose is the fittings. Absolutely the best I've ever encountered. Easy to grab and hand tighten without any leakage. In fact it was the fittings that sold me on this hose over the high price spread that has "replaceable" aluminum fittings. The quality of the brass threads and the way the molded end eliminates stress on the treads while still being able to swivel is outstanding. Only regrets, I wish it came in a color besides International Orange and I wish I'd bought the hose with the quick connect bundle. Although, with how good the fittings are quick connects are hardly needed.

Its a garden hose, it works just like one. Except, once again, misrepresented. It is not anti-kink, its no different than a regular garden hose. It seems to be a bit more robust, but I've only had it one season. Would be 5stars if not for unkinking.

I've tried numerous hoses here in Florida, and none of them have been worth even half what they cost me. The kink-less junk kinks, the heavy duty hose breaks at the fittings, etc... That was until I ran across this hose! Granted, it's seen only moderate use so far, but it performs way better than I expected. The casing is soft and flexible, it coils easily, and the fittings are decent. Can you kink it, of course, if you try, but it easily corrects that kink with a bit of a flip. Give it a try!

The very bright orange outer covering of the hose has a "soft and silky" feeling. It says to unwind on the lawn-- and that is literal--as I unwound it in my driveway and it has the surface scuffs to prove it as the "kinks" were numerous. The kinks go away when you turn on the water, but I have yet to "use it" -- which will be across my driveway from time to time-- so it's Durability is still in question. Empty of water it is very light weight-- so using a "self-supporting stand" is just fine. The coupler ends are unique-- they are as long as the width of your palm and help you tighten to the hose bib or nozzle much better and easier than those "small finger-grip" hose ends-- it appears that they also serve as a "strain relief" of sorts to stop kinking at those connection points. A bit concerned about "abrasion durability"; but if it is only an "appearance issue", then this will be a very good hose -- time will tell.. UPDATE: Just had the opportunity to really use this hose.. and my opinion of it has completely changed-- it is the most frustrating hose that I have ever used! Yes, the kinks DO come out of the hose-- but you have to "struggle" to get them to do that. Each time you remove one by "twisting" the hose, you hear an annoying "SNAP" from the hose as if it were breaking-- it is not-- but as you do that, Another "kink" ( or more) develops farther down the hose length--The issue seems that this type hose does not "relax" like other hoses do eventually and even out the "hose twist" so they will stay basically "unkinked".. BUT THIS ONE-- it wants to maintain the ORIGINAL hose coil when it was manufactured! This means it literally "fights" you if you try to make coils larger than the original one. It fights by twisting into a kink as you try to coil. To make that process of coiling work-- a "helper" down the hose length would have to continually rotate the hose as you make your larger coils onto the "hose holder"-- otherwise you best have strong wrists to fight the desire of this to kink as you coil it at the hose hanger. I would not buy it again unless it were to be used "uncoiled" ALL of the time. Update #2 Over the summer I have had many occasions to use this hose and my opinion of it has just gotten worse. No matter WHAT you do this hose KINKS! Now if you ran it in a straight line then it probably would be fine-- that was a trick question-- YOU CAN"T run it in a straight line-- it will "kink" multiple times before you can do that-- and even then it won't stay "straight".. It is going into the "I'm desparate and have no choice but to use it one more time" pile. IF I had a choice between going to the dentist and using this hose one more time-- I would got to the dentist! If the choice was going "dress shopping" with my wife or using this hose-- I would go dress shopping.. or if my wife said my mother-in-law was coming for a vist if I didn't use this hose again-- I would welcome her with open arms-- that is how much I don't like this hose!!
