  • Excellent water hose!!!!
Size: 50' (feet) Color: Orange
I am a greenhouse owner and as you might imagine I use water hoses daily, year round. Most of the hoses you buy in the box stores are made of a stiff plastic/rubber material that only gets more stiff with age. Also, those hoses, when they kink one time you are left with a permanent area that will easily kink each time you use the hose. I decided to try this water hose and I’m glad that I did. It is wonderful! The hose is light and it isn’t stiff at all. The material is flimsy but tough, what you want in a water hose. The ends of the hose have hard collars that prevent the hose from kinking off if it’s pulled tight. The best part is the fact that if it kinks, it doesn’t leave a permanent area that kinks every time. Also, when a kink does form all you have to do is pull the hose slightly tight and the pressure difference will ensure that the kink pops out. I have this hose at one of my benches that has plants on it all year long. It gets used almost every day of the year. It also gets walked over as it lays in the aisle when not in use. None of that bothers this hose. It hasn’t degraded at all and it doesn’t seem to stiffen as it ages. The threaded connections at each end are made of a high quality metal. It’s also a solid connector piece that won’t leak like other hoses will. The orange color is nice, especially if you are afraid of someone tripping on it. It will also remind anyone mowing your yard that it is there in case you forget to roll it back up. I will certainly purchase more of these and I recommend that you do to if you need a water hose. Try it out! You’ll love it I’m sure. ... show more

  • It works pretty good so far
Size: 75' (feet) Color: Orange
I have had this product for about 3 days, and let me tell you all about it. Out of the box, it was tightly wrapped, kind of like me. It smelled of chemicals and that concerned me as I am going to use it to water my rabbits. My 50+ rabbits. I do not need to go outside one morning and see piles of cold, unmoving fur lumps in my cages, so I drank from the hose like I did when I was a kid, and so far, no vomiting out of my butt. They brag about this hose, not kinking, but I will tell you right now, when I was st4etching this thing out, it was almost as kinky as me after four shots of tequila on a Saturday night as Papasses. I bought a reel with it because it is 75 feet of orange chaos that needs to be wrangled because there are not many places to throw it that are not outside, and with about a foot of snow on the ground, it is about as cold as my ex-wife I need to store it inside. This hose, currently, is doing what I hoped it would do, although I wish I had bought the 100ft hose as it is, literally, 25 feet short of reaching the chicken coop, so I have to disconnect the watering buckets and carry them the last 25 feet. This morning, it was -1 outside, and things were relatively loose, like a half-cooked spaghetti noodle. It was better than my rubber hose, which was as stiff as an Englishman's upper lip. I will re-evaluate in another few months after it has been in the -20s for a week. ... show more

  • Great for anything you use for this hose
Only downfall it does kink sometimes making it aggravating 😠. But as for the main purpose this hose is very durable extremely long in length and I purchased the black and decker type soaker flip handle with multiple settings at the dollar general for $10$ it works great with the hose!

  • Impressed so far
I have a large back yard, a pool and a stationary hose reel bolted to the house that holds around 250 feet of hose (depending on the hose). During the summer especially, we use this hose a lot. The reel had 200 feet of pretty good quality, heavy duty residential hose on it. That hose lasted over 20 years but was starting to show it's age and had been repaired several times. What's more, my wife hated the stuff. Her primary complaint was how heavy it was. She really struggled to drag it around the yard or wind it back on the reel. So it was time to replace it. My criteria: brass fittings, reasonably heavy duty and durable, decent price. Her criteria, lighter! So I searched the reviews and looked at damn near everything amazon sells and picked this stuff. I ended up buying two 50 foot hoses and one 100 foot hose. So, here's what I think. The hose ends are heavy duty brass and well crimped. The little bits of plastic sleeve on each end are just branding and don't provide any other useful purpose. This isn't a criticism, just an observation. I cut them off. As others have mentioned, the female fittings are crimped a little tight. This makes it somewhat difficult to tighten them without twisting the hose. I put a little white lithium grease on mine and held the things in my hand - twisting back and forth until they lubed up and loosened up. No harm, no foul, I'd rather a little tight than loose. Once that was done, I connected all the sections and stretched the whole thing out in the yard. I connected one end to the faucet (hose reel), slapped a nozzle on the other end and turned on the water. It was a warm summer day, I let the hose fill with water and then went down the entire 200 foot length untwisting and straightening it all out. Then I left it bake in the sun for a couple hours under pressure. After that I turned off the water, and started inspecting the hose. I have about 80lbs of water pressure, left under pressure and cooking in the sun, the hose definitely swelled a little diameter wise, but no bulges or anything untoward. Connections all looked good, no leaks or malfunctions. So, I turned off the water and took off the nozzle and started winding it up on the reel. Now right away I could tell that this stuff was more pliable and significantly lighter then the hose it replaced. I carefully spooled it up on the reel and threaded a brass shutoff and brass quick connector on the end. That was the middle of June, 2023. It's now December 2023. The verdict. I like the stuff, and more importantly, so does my wife. From my perspective, I like the color, it's easy to see and find in the grass, I don't trip over it or worry about not seeing it before I run over it while cutting the grass (you can laugh, but that accounted for one of the previous "repairs" I mentioned earlier). Now, when you pull hose off a reel, it tends to come off pretty straight, which automatically alleviates a bunch of twisting and kinking issues. Still, as you drag this stuff around the yard it keeps its shape pretty well and doesn't twist up or kink. It's flexible and yet "stiff" enough to drag around corners without issue. The hose itself has definitely faded a little colorwise, the end that gets the most use is less orange then the hose that spends most of its time wrapped on the reel, but not unduly so. After a summer of use, I'd have to say it's held up well, without any signs of terminal wear and tear. What does my wife think? She loves the stuff. It's much easier for her to use and wind back up. She really is the primary user, she does 90% of the pool "stuff", plant tending, gardening and watering. If she likes it, I'm good. So, we'll see, in a couple more years, if this hose doesn't hold up, I'll come back and let you know. For now I'd have to say, if you need a new hose, try this stuff. ... show more

  • Great Hose!
Size: 100' (feet) Color: Orange
Hose is lightweight and has sturdy brass fittings on both ends. End protectors help with tightening connections. Hose is very flexible and I have not had any problems with kinking. Highly recommend.

  • Nice heavy duty hose
Size: 75' (feet) Color: Orange
Nice heavy duty hose for an HVAC guy to use. I use this also for water heater draining and service and it has held up to the hot water thus far. Kind of heavy to carry but nice when paired with a hose wrap to transport in the truck.
