This is a heavy duty hose with quality brass fittings on each end. The female end easily swivels when installing onto the faucet and the threads are precise. The hose holds pressure well for long periods and does not leak at the fittings. The hose is heavy and the material feels like it should perform well for many years. It does roll up well with little effort. Unfortunately, it can kink despite being listed as kink free. It's not terrible, but it does kink. Other than that, it is a really good hose. Four stars due to the kink issue.

We bought the YAMATIC Garden Hose 5/8 in x 75 ft with Swivel Fitting, Kink Free Water hose as a replacement for another brand that had served its time This hose is as represented, it feels light but not weak, it is a medium duty hose. It came delivered covered in plastic wrap, the coiled hose tied well into place with nylons strings. The hose was placed in a box with other products and they all arrived fine My guess is, this hose will last many seasons, rolled around a hose cart, partially protected from the elements on a shady side of the house, beneath an eave. The hose is not kink free, but kink resistant as advertised, and not an issue with a hose cart. I believe they advertise it as kink resistant, simply because it has a 4" sleeve for protection that somewhat rotates where it connects on both ends, as illustrated I am pleased with this purchase, especially in light of a bonus, it unexpectedly came with a 30% discount. We would have bought it either way and would buy it again, nice little hose

Hadn't even finished unpacking the hose and it was full of kinks. After connecting to water source had a heck of a time getting it straight enough to allow any water to freely flow. How easy it kinks is as though they designed it on purpose to kink. If you don't mind spending time getting it laid out straight this is the hose for you. Otherwise, get another hose!

I learned the hard way that, when picking up hoses in the fall with an eye toward using them next spring, you need to check for lemons when you receive them. It's a terrible feeling when you hook up hose for the first time, months after buying it it leaks like a sieve, and you know it's too late to return it. What I like: - Tested great. Hooked it up, capped the end, and turned the water to maximum. No leaks anywhere, and no bulging at all. - Sturdy brass couplings. No aluminum to interact badly with my hose bibs. - No significant kinking. I was careful uncoiling this hose, since I've ruined a hose for life once when I allowed it to kink while unrolling it. Not this time! The ends were slightly curved, as you might imagine after being so tightly wound for who knows how long. I laid the hose out in the sun for a day, just to relax it a bit before rolling it up for the winter. What I don't like: - Not a big deal, but I don't like the soft vinyl/plastic reinforcing sleeves at both ends of the hose. They're too soft to prevent the hose from bending. I suppose the protect the spinning brass parts of the couplings, but I'm not sure from what. This doesn't matter to me at all, though. Good hose. RECOMMENDED.
