Let me start by saying after I took these photos I realized I had the base backwards. It has since been turned around. I bought this for my daughter's 13th birthday and it was an absolute hit. She loves it. Assembly was a little rough as there's no words in the instructions only pictures but I was able to assemble it within an hour with a second person helping. It even came with an extra net. If I were to need to get another hoop I'd definitely get this one again ... show more

My girls age 8 and 11 wanted a basketball hoop for so long. I've been researching and couldn't pick one . Some were overpriced with small hoop size and baseboard. I came across this one and decided to proceed with my purchase. I'm so happy I did! My kids love it! Putting it together was easy but make sure you take your time and use the correct screws. The items are not labeled. You guide according to paper instruction that shows the pic of it. It took about 30min to assemble. You do need a second pair of hands when assembling the top portion. Overall it's pretty sturdy.the net is good material too. You have a choice to fill the base with sand or water. I did neither. I went to home depot and got 2 12" industrial eye hook screws and a ratchet strap and secured it in the ground . My kids shoot hoops every day multiple times a day. It makes me so happy. Its priced right in my opinion considering Facebook marketplace was selling used old rusty ones for same price. Its also height adjustable which we prefer. Shipment took a while but worth it. This is a great excersize and a great investment in our household. The red plastic wheels are great accent,too. My ratchet strap is red too and it looks really cute together. I'll submit a picture of the hoop and my set up. Enjoy! Hope my review helps you decide. Update:I'm removing 1 star because the netting literally evaporated after some rain. We ordered this for our 9 year old for his birthday to see if he liked basketball enough to buy and set up a regulation hoop. We knew it wasn't going to be a fancy full sized or super sturdy item by the price and size description, but we thought it would serve its purpose. When the first box arrived it was missing pieces so we could not assemble it. This was very quickly addressed and a new one was sent. The second one had all of the parts and so we put it together. After less then 20 mins of playing HORSE the ball bounced off the backboard and the whole backboard and top detached at the welding points and fell down. Thankfully my 6'1 husband was standing at the goal and caught it, stopping it from breaking off entirely and landing on anyone. The pictures show where the welds failed. It seemed flimsy when putting it together but again for the price we were not expecting a heavy duty goal, but a safe and well put together piece of equipment should not be beyond the realm of possibilities. ... show more

    • I would not choose this product again. It’s worth the extra 75 bucks to get a good quality one.
It was an all right hoop for my 6yr-old but it only lasted two years. The backboard broke and the black metal legs that hold it up, they rusted, and broke off. It lasted us 2 years. He was six when I bought it and he’s nine now. He still tries to use it though. He leans it up against the house but after a couple shots, it falls down and I gotta get a new one before it falls on his head, and he gets hurt .I don’t know, if I had teenagers, I don’t think it would’ve lasted that long. I thought they were supposed to stay outside so I didn’t think it would rust that fast. I don’t know how long they’re supposed to last, basketball hoops.
