The media could not be loaded. This is a great versatile product! You can cook things straight from frozen and it doesn’t even blink an eye! It taste great, just as if it was thawed before it was put in. Nice juicy chicken breasts or whatever it is that you put in. I love the set it and forget it mentality. It saves me a lot of time because I can do other things while it is pressure cooking my meal. I love that. It has the timer on it so that I can time starting my air fryer with whatever my side dish is going to be. I only wish it came in an 8 quart size. That is my only complaint which is not a big one. I would definitely recommend getting this one that has the Wi-Fi connectivity. You can get recipes from the app and it gives you step by and step instructions on how to cook the meal from start to finish including seasoning in the beginning. The only complaint I have about the app is I wish there were more recipes but if you google anything related to Insta pot pro plus time and temperature you always get an exact answer from Google on how to cook it. That’s typically the way I figure out how to cook my meal. Google has gotten really good at giving direct answers. Anyways, buy it and enjoy it like I am!!

I had a IP Duo with the air fryer lid for a while which worked pretty good. I bought an air fryer countertop oven recently so I decided to upgrade my IP too. I would suggest testing the machine out within the return window and not leave it sitting around… otherwise you’re stuck with an expensive machine that you can’t return if it’s faulty! I was so excited to try this out but the first IP Pro Plus I received was faulty. It didn’t pass the water test. It was heating and built pressure and locking however the machine just kept reading pre heat and wouldn’t Indicate where it was in the cooking cycle and just read ON. I’m thinking the pressure sensor was broken. I contacted IP to see if there was anything I was doing wrong but no answers. I’m not a newbie with the IP as I’ve used it for years… So rather than wait for a response I just did an easy exchange through Amazon. I’ll admit, I was slightly disappointed that *gasp* I got a faulty machine and had already gave away my older IP and had major regret. I usually have good luck with my appliances working with no problems out of the box. Now, I’m not an IP worshipper. I don’t find many of the dinners made in the IP that appetizing because they all look mushy. I’ve tried to be a dump and go slow cooker/IP cook but…. Just not my type of food. I won’t be trying to master a lasagna or a cake in this thing as I can do that in my oven because why complicate things? (Maybe for someone who doesn’t have an oven?) I definitely understand why busy people love it though and there’s nothing wrong with these IP meals. I did try a American Goulash recipe yesterday and that actually came out great. This IP definitely has its purpose in my kitchen though for things that take a long time to cook. I use my IP for making beans, bean soups, pea soup and for when I’m making Birria or Barbacoa (tough cuts of meat). These types of food take hours on the stove and I can set it and forget it and don’t need to be home. The replacement was sent right away and I had my fingers crossed. I preformed the water test and it passed with flying colors. Phew! 😅 This model is so shiny and beautiful. I have no trouble seeing the control panel as some users may have mentioned. I love the touch screen and the automatic pressure release settings! The shiny surface resists fingerprints impressively well. How did they do that? What initially compelled me to get this was the wifi feature. I could check from my phone the progress of the cooking or even change or cancel if I needed to. I’ve never really needed to do this however… but now I CAN. I’m not exactly sure how much I will be using the app recipes though. I also liked that the control panel wasn’t crowded with pre sets. I found that in the older models that the pre sets were inaccurate and confusing and I ended up doing the manual setting anyway. I love that you don’t need to touch the steam valve now! You control it through the control panel. The first thing I made in the IP Pro Plus was yogurt. I had never made it in my IP in the past (which I was missing out on) It was truly effortless and I will be making it regularly. I just ordered a backup pot for when the pot will be in use because the yogurt process is so long. So far I’m loving how pretty they made this and it looks high end on my counter and it works exactly how it should. FYI *Nutriboost Feature* I tried this out when I made my beans and the setting is supposed to “stir” the food somehow. I think it boils it in bursts (or somehow?) So during the last 15 mins of cooking it will start doing the nutriboost process and that will involve the cooker to pulse steam every 5 or maybe 10 seconds for the last 15 mins of cooking.

Updated 12/29/24 - My Instant Pot timed venting wish has finally come true, so I just changed my rating to five stars. They added a new app option when timed venting is selected, so now you can choose the amount of time you want to vent the pot. It takes the guessing game out of using the timed venting feature. It's the addition I have been hoping for ever since they added timed venting to the app. Updated 9/27/24: They just added a new notification feature to the app and I really like it. You get a push status notification when the pressure cooker starts preheating, then moves to the cooking cycle, then goes into venting mode and when it completes the venting cycle. It's particularly helpful to get notified when it goes into the venting process in case you want to precisely time the venting based on what you are cooking. It's a helpful enhancement. Original review - I have an older model 6 QT Instant Pot Pro and I wanted this new one for its ability to connect to wifi, so I can use the app to control it. I especially like that the app has an extra venting option that is not available on the panel of the Instant Pot itself. It's a "Timed" option (see photo) that I actually discovered by accident when I was programming a cooking cycle. It's not explained anywhere in the documentation or even in the app, but it's very helpful when doing grains where I want it to natural release for a few minutes and then quickly finish the release without manual intervention. This is where the "Timed" option comes in. It seems to kick in about five to seven minutes after natural release starts. It varies, maybe based on how full the pot is, but since there's no documentation, it's just a guess on my part. It works great because I can be anywhere in the house and not have to rush to my kitchen to manually change the venting to quick release. I really love being able to monitor the progress from my iPhone and see when it has finished whatever cycle I've chosen. The cooking pot itself is different than my older model. It has two handles on it so it makes lifting the hot pot out of the unit so easy. I also like that it automatically seals itself when you lock the lid. No more manually turning a small knob from venting to sealing. That makes it foolproof. It cooks the same way as my older model, but these new options make it my preferred pot. It doesn't have as many preprogrammed settings as my older model, but I never really used those anyway. I like to use the standard pressure cook option and choose the cooking times and the pressure and venting levels myself. I took one star off because "Timed Venting" is not a feature on the unit and it's not explained in any documentation, but it's offered as a feature in the app. I think they need to point that out somewhere and not leave it up to consumers to find it by accident or have to guess to see how it works.

Simply AMAZING!!! Just get it as it’s worth its weight in gold. Perfect meals everytime, the WiFi feature makes all the difference in the world as I am notified when my meal is done so I am never tethered to to pot. BRILLIANT!
