The only problem I had with this was getting it to except an email address. I had to try 4 different ones and it finally excepted my aol email address. It works great. Pinpointed my 2004 problem quickly and showed me the parts I needed. Parts were ordered and are now sitting on the table waiting to be put on. If only I could get hubby to work as fast as the scanner lol. ... show more

The AD Pro scanner uses the free Advancer APP to display the information. Pairing with the scanner is automatic once the APP is configured for the scanner. The graphical interface of the APP makes it easy to operate. The APP can scan for trouble codes, display live data and perform other functions such as smog checks and battery tests. The battery test, checks voltage before, during, and after a start up. It eliminates the need to purchase a separate battery tester. The scanner can stay connected while the vehicle is driven to display vehicle operating conditions to aid in trouble shooting. . I have an XTool D8 that I love. Before I purchased the D8, I was debating if I would be better off purchasing an Autel scanner with the topology feature or save a lot of money and live without it. Long story short, about a year later there was a free online update for the topology feature. With the excellent support staff and price for what you are getting it is an absolute no-brainer for someone like me who is a DIYer. As for the AD20 Pro, it fits in nicely. Tried it on about 7 different vehicles (none before 2004) and it again is well worth the money for the price. The main thing for me is I can just throw it in my pocket if needed and check out a check engine light, fuel trim, temperatures, battery voltage, etc.. My D8 is not a BT and this is a jewel to have. ... show more
