Registration and software download through the app were seamless—just create an account, enter the activation code, and you’re ready to go within minutes. The app is clean, intuitive, and handles updates automatically. One thing I really appreciate is the fast scanning speed. It connects quickly via Bluetooth and pulls codes and system data without lag, which makes diagnostics much more efficient. It also works well with Genesis vehicles, with stable connectivity and access to multiple modules. Most importantly, it supports electronic parking brake (EPB) service functions, which was a key reason I chose it. That makes brake jobs much easier without needing a more expensive scan tool. Husband absolutely loves it. It tells you everything wrong with the car, even what’s going bad but isn’t bad yet. He did lots of research before choosing and I was skeptical cause it was cheaper then some but actually turned out very perfect. He even connects it to his tablet for live data and reports. Took him seconds to set up. Doesn’t seem to have any connectivity issues and did explain why our check engine light was on, why the car kept stalling and confirmed parts we already knew were going bad like the converters etc. ... show more

XTool A30D I recently purchased the XTOOL Anyscan A30D wireless scan tool. I already have the XTOOL IP608, which has been great. It has helped me to pin point some issues I was having with a vehicle throwing codes, that had nothing to do with the sensor that was bad. I wanted a device with some bi-directional capabilities, allowing me to activate sensors, relay/switches, etc. to better troubleshoot issues that I may have. You only need to download their XTOOL Anyscan app/software to your device (phone, tablet, etc), activate with the information given with the device (S/N & activate code), update any information that has come out (since the A30D was put in a box), plug the device into your vehicles OBD connector and connect to it via Bluetooth. You are ready to go! You don’t need Wi-Fi to use it on the vehicle (but it would help if you need to look up any information). The unit itself displays your battery voltage as soon as you plug it in, So you know, whether or not battery voltage is an issue before you even begin. This scanner allows me to be out of the vehicle, wirelessly. With the live data feature, you can be under the hood, make changes and see the results in real time. It tells me everything any of the sensors are reporting. It’ll even start the car, so you aren’t running back and forth! It allows me to graph multiple values (up to 8) at the same time, I can record the live values to review or compare to values after any changes have been made. With any of the “Special Features” you can reset/relearn the throttle body after a cleaning, rest TPMS, battery reset, abs bleeding (activates the abs pump to bleed the system thoroughly!), release the electric parking brake when replacing brakes, and a lot more. There are currently 19 “SpecialFeatures” but having a XTOOL scanner for a while now, I’m sure there will be more. They are constantly upgrading and adding to their program. Of course you can clear any codes, turn off the oil change light and any of the basic features any cheap scanner will do. With lifetime FREE updates, you don’t get roped into another subscription, which is nice! I’ve had questions in the past and they are quick to respond, so it’s not a case of you buy it and you’re on your own. They seem to be a company that really stands by their products. So far I’m very impressed with what this thing can do. I haven’t even gotten into everything yet but I look forward to hooking it back up and using (playing?) it some more! ... show more

    • Think twice aboe a A30D for Ford
I bought the A30D mainly for traveling in case of check engine light. I wanted to be able to see engine temp, oil temp, trans temp, engine oil pressure or any other PID's that would leave me stranded. My 2020 Ford Edge dosen't show the TCM module and my 2025 Ford Maverick shows nothing. the Maverick shows some PIDs using OBD button. To call them is like about $.50 a minute being in the UK. I tried the chat with us and it fell on "deaf ears", but I did get a 100 points to use. I bought this in the beginng of March plugged it in downloaded software to make sure it worked which it did and packed it away until later. I been trying this week to see what it will do and have found that I have been had. ... show more
