The colors are super bright, the app is really easy to use, and changing scenes, setting timers, or picking solid colors only takes a couple taps or to just ask alexa. You can even set each light to a different color or group them together, which is such a cool feature. The media could not be loaded. I’m very happy with my purchase of the XMcosy+ RGBCW Smart Outdoor String Lights (98 feet). The lights arrived well-packaged with everything needed for different installation types: the string lights, controller, two spare bulbs, tie wraps, screws, and hanging hooks. A well-written user manual and a quick-start card for the app are also included, which makes setup straightforward. Pairing works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (not 5GHz), but Bluetooth and cellular options are available. Just be sure the controller box is within range of your Wi-Fi signal if you plan to use that option. The lights themselves feel sturdy and durable, with a waterproof rating and a 1-year warranty for extra peace of mind. Installation was simple, and connecting to the app took less than two minutes. The app is intuitive and offers a wide range of vivid color options. I especially like the ability to program custom colors and sequences, and there’s even a music sync feature that matches the lights to your playlist. You can control the lights by group or even adjust individual bulbs for maximum customization. The illumination is excellent—bright enough to light up my patio while adding a fun, vibrant atmosphere. Really like the product. Needed some outdoor lighting and already use the xmcosy white lights inside. Love the app and the ability to program and dim. Out of the box they did come a bit tangled. It took me some time to unwind them. Stringing them up was easy. You could use them anywhere you can hook them up. They didn’t power on at first. Took me sometime to play with the wiring and then it didn’t connect to the app right away. Needed to move the receiver box inside through a window to be closer to the WiFi it seemed. Once it was all connected they work well. Great amount of light. Added into the same app and can adjust colors and set programs. Would recommend. Only gave 4 stars for the reasons listed above. We picked out these lights because we were looking for something that could do everything, and they deliver! We got them because they: A: Light up our porch stairs with basic white light so we could see, B: Can be changed to any color combination for various holidays, C: Can be controlled via wifi, D: Can be set to a timer, and E: Are water/weatherproof! On top of that they have all sorts of customizable settings that we were surprised by, like being able to create your own sequences, have them set to music in your phone, and change the color of each individual bulb. Would love to pick up another set of these with white wiring/bolts to blend in with our porch, but will be getting another string for our backyard in the future! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have used several RGBW string patio lights before, most notably a couple different models from Govee and another XMCOSY set that is just white/temperature. The far and away difference with this set is the brightness per bulb. Most of the other sets could achieve decent but not great brightness set on pure white. If you made the temp warmer or switched to a color, you were basically at night light level. These maintain usable brightness across all white temps and on colors. They say 40lm per unit (x30) gets you about 1200 lumen, which sounds about right when set to white and illuminating my office (pictures) Excellent color reproduction. More importantly the white color temperature range is excellent and accurate. On the Govee set, the 'warm' white was basically solid yellow and anything less warm than that was the 'daylight white/blue'. These look more like traditional bulbs when set to warmer though they do not get as warm (orangish) as standard incandescent bulbs or Hue bulbs). App is bare bones but I have another set of XMCOSY Patio lights (white only) and they have been rock solid in terms of uptime/connectivity. I have never once seen them go offline or not respond in the app which cannot be said of some of the combo Bluetooth/WIFI sets I have used in the past. Other pros: very thick/smooth cables and junctions (feel sturdy and not prone to snagging); the bulbs/elements are individually replaceable (they actually give you 2x extra) - the Govee's were sealed plastic, no serviceability), the bulbs are actually crystal clear and attractive instead of the dull plasticky faded white of thegovee bulbs. These don't stand out when turned off. Overall an excellent set, the app could use more interesting color options/themes/presets. ... show more
