But my boyfriend and I live in a tiny apartment in Chicago, and we’ve been trying to find ways to upgrade our cozy nights without adding more clutter. Enter: this little guy from XGIMI (which I’d never heard of until last week). I started comparing projectors on Amazon, YouTube, and Reddit — we were originally leaning toward Anker or maybe Epson. But then I kept seeing mentions of this brand on CNET and some tech subreddits, and figured why not give it a shot? This thing is such a vibe. Setup took 5 minutes. It focused itself, adjusted the screen perfectly even though we put it on a random side table, and immediately gave us access to Netflix, YouTube, and Crunchyroll without any weird app workarounds. What really blew me away? The stand that doubles as a powerbank. We took it to a friend’s rooftop party and projected onto the side of a white chimney — no outlet nearby, but it just worked. Everyone kept asking what it was. Also, the ambient filters that come with it? Weirdly relaxing. The “dream” one is such a good background for winding down or journaling. What can I say this is an amazing product, it does everything I need it to do plays music, movies and more with a loud crips audio. The auto focused isn’t super accurate at times but once calibrated is able to quickly refocuse to a sharp clear image in seconds. 450 lumens although not the brightest is plenty good enough for a semi dark room. The batteries last about 1hr to at most 1.5 hours watching movies and shows. The size is compact and perfect for grab and go and the quality of the product feels genuinely good. It takes seconds to initially set up and the stream has zero stutter and a smooth interface using google tv. Only docked 1 star due to auto focus and key stone not being super accurate from time to time. ... show more

My cat loves it! Just upgraded to this one from my mogo 3—definitely worth it. The built-in battery makes a huge difference. The image quality is really great. This is my third xgimi product, and it hasn’t let me down at all! Now I’m just waiting for the portable screen so I can enjoy it all summer

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Worth the money Love how small this is — so easy to carry around. Sets up a big screen fast if the room is dark enough. Great for family movie nights at home, camping, or backyard fun. Gives you that “theater” feel without the tickets. Second review after more use and an ignorant email from customer care. Battery life is less than advertised 1.5hr in standard light mode with an extra .5hr with power stand. WiFi only connectivity so how would I use outdoors say camping, oh another cord to buy. You would think with all the tvs with Bluetooth streaming that is what one would expect from this projector I spent more on than a current 55”tv.
