The only downside is that the attachment carabiner is not large enough to fit around the width of the hook or bracket arm. Need to order S hooks to allow for hanging.

I was alittle worried that they would not be able to hold the weight of our 12inch hanging baskets. These are fantastic. Not i can water,fertilize and pick the dead blossoms off without a ladder or spilling water all over me! We found by crimping the metal hook on the basket, there is no worry of unhooking the basket when releasing. Will buy some for my inlaws.

I think it's a little misleading to call something that has to be treated so carefully as "heavy duty" but we babied these as instructed and hung a plant, before we even had time to hang the second one, the first one had plunged to the ground. Luckily no one was standing under it because it was just a sudden free fall. Also the instructions on the hanger are near gibberish, come on.

I was disappointed that only 2 of the 3 would retract properly. They hold my ferns easily. I can lower them for watering and lift back in place and out of the way. They work much like window shades where you pull down slightly then up to get them to retract. I'm glad I got them, just wanted 3 that worked. Hopefully customer service will send a replacement. I will update if that happens.
