They are very sturdy and hold loaded bird feeder weighing 0ver 10 pounds full. It is good that are 3 pcs. Two have failed after about 2 months. But went I check the failed One several days later it was working again. I deduced they failed after a heavy rain and would not hold after I had refilled the feeder. Once the moister dried inside the ratchet action started working again. So do not throw it away if it fails

I have purchased a few different retractable plant hangers as I have a very tall lean-to on my patio. These work great even for the heavier baskets. It makes watering and pruning so much easier and safer not having to use a ladder. Very easy to install.

I’ve purchased these three different times, and each set has had the same issue: the locking mechanism fails after about two months. Despite being advertised as heavy-duty, they’re lightweight and feel cheaply made. They may work temporarily, but expect to replace them frequently.

I put the 1st one on my tree and attached my 2lb finch feeder. 4 hours later the wire became fully extended with the feeder sitting on the ground. The wire would not retract. Not what I expected. Will try a 2nd one and see how it goes. So far, not happy. I will update if all goes well with the 2nd one.

The 2 pkg I received were exactly as described. Very study and easy to hang. I use it for my hummingbirds and now I can just pull the feeder down without having to use a ladder. I just bought two more for a friend. And she love it. Would definitely purchase again!
