Had a previous pool cleaner in this price range and it worked flawlessly, but this season it wasn’t able to recharge, so I got this unit as a replacement. I have an oval in ground vinyl liner pool. Tried this unit twice while opening the pool but it only got a few leaves and none of the dirt off the sides. It had trouble at the deep end where the sides slope up about 45 degrees before becoming vertical. It just stopped and turned around. When I went to empty the basket it had about 10 leaves. Minimum suction on a full charge.My old robot would have filled the basket. I’ve used it twice so far, I’ll give it another chance before sending it back. Also, poor design of the connector plug, after charging the plug goes over the connectors to minimize corrosion. Others have a screw down cap, this just has a rubber plug with a friction fit. However, if the water is cold, the rubber will contract faster than the plastic plug housing and could cause a leak.

If you don’t get sand in your pool, I’m sure this would work just fine. I live in the desert. Sucks sand from the bottom and blows it out the top. Also my pool is rounded between the bottom and the walls. This machine does not clean that area. Picks up leaves and small debris if that’s all you need.

This is an "OK" robot vacuum, but is slow and needs to be frequently charged. It leaves tracks on the pool floor and is not good if you have a "funnel" type pool. It can't figure out that type of topography. We've had much better ones in the past
