I recently decided to give Mud Wtr a try after seeing all the hype online. Here are my honest thoughts: 1) Taste: If you enjoy earthy, herbal flavors, you might like Mud Wtr. It has a unique taste that's unlike coffee but can be interesting for those who appreciate a more natural, chai-like experience. However, for me, the taste was too bland and earthy, almost like drinking a mix of dirt and spices. Even with sweeteners and milk, I struggled to finish a cup. It just doesn’t have that satisfying flavor profile I crave in the morning. 2) Ingredients and Dosage: They state that each serving contains 2,000mg of mushroom extract, with 500mg per strain, and they’re transparent about it, so they pass in this category. 3) Quality: This part is extremely important because it’s crucial to understand the level of quality of the mushroom extract you are paying for. Mud Wtr uses mushroom extract from mycelial biomass, which is the root-like structure of a fungus (mycelium) grown on a grain or other substrate. Unlike fruiting bodies, which are the actual mushrooms, mycelial biomass often includes the substrate it's grown on, resulting in a less potent product with lower concentrations of beneficial compounds. While each serving is 2,000mg, the level of potency is about 50-60% lower than what you get with extracts made from 100% fruiting bodies. 4) Price and Value: At nearly $49 for a relatively small canister, I expected more in terms of flavor, quality, and benefits. When compared to my other favorite, Lucid Super Coffee — which contains 2,000mg of mushrooms plus 3,000mg of nootropics (superfuel for your brain) for around the same price — you’re getting much more for your money. Mud Wtr’s effects are pretty mild, but I do still enjoy it occasionally and think it’s a decent product that will stay in my cabinet to keep functional mushrooms in my life. However, Lucid has won my heart (at least for now) because I can actually FEEL the effects. My best advice is to pay attention to the dosage and quality of mushrooms, ensure brands are completely transparent about their ingredients, and always read the label!

This is the perfect blend of a quality products and the ingredients that I’ve been trying to mix for a long time in one container. It has a good taste, doesn’t have a lot of caffeine, and it mixes well. However, for the size of the product, it’s a little on the expensive side. I still recommend buying this product. However, It could be a little bit more affordable.

This product dissolves momentarily and then quickly turns to mud. Even with consistent stirring and swirling throughout drinking, there is always sediment on the bottom. Because it was $50, I slam the sludge at the bottom, hoping for the benefits it promises. I appreciate that all the ingredients are organic, but I likely won't be buying again. Plus I didn't know there was a risk of lead exposure! I bought this product based on a recommendation from a friend and did not look at the reviews!

MUD*WTR Mushroom Coffee Review - A Mixed Experience As most reviewers have mentioned, the taste of MUD*WTR is definitely an acquired one. I wasn’t thrilled at first, but over time, I actually got used to it. I sweeten mine with honey and add oat milk, which helps create a fairly tasty beverage that I can enjoy in the morning. In terms of mental clarity, I personally haven’t noticed a significant difference. However, the biggest benefit for me has been the energy boost. Unlike regular coffee, MUD*WTR gives me a nice lift without that jittery feeling, which is great for my body. I decided to try this because I have a stomach ulcer, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t upset my stomach at all. That being said, I’m not sure I’ll be repurchasing. The price is pretty steep for what you get, and I’m not sure the benefits outweigh the cost for me personally. Still, if you’re looking for a smoother alternative to coffee that doesn’t irritate your stomach, this might be worth a try.

I think it is so worth the money. I mix it with chocolate protein powder. Drinking it at 3pm gives me enough energy for the evening but doesn’t keep me from being asleep by 10pm.
