I just assembled it. It was easy to make. There are no word instructions. It is all photos but I was able to follow. My cat was playing with the stuff before I had it all made. And he was already taking naps and biting it. It looks very good and if you need to wash the fluffy fuzzy parts those are all detachable so it’s easy to clean besides the scratching post one. It’s not overly wide either. I also like that it comes with replacement fuzzy balls. For the top part. Now all the poles are supposed to stick up. I just have one sticking down because he likes to play with it in the hammock. And I like the fact that you can take those out and use it as a regular toy. ... show more

The directions for assembly could be better, like a lot better, but if you can pay attention to the small details in the pictures you'll probably be okay, I really recommend getting this if you have your own good tools to use rather than using the tools included because there are lots of little pieces. My boyfriend put this together and it took him a few hours, which was longer than we both expected it to take. All that said, once put together it's a nice cat tree. My cat spends a lot of time on it looking out the window and napping in the sun. The litter box entrance is well positioned so he is comfortable going in and out of it, we did decide to leave the sliding doors off at first while the cat got used to it and put them on a few days apart. It's very sturdy and seems like it's mostly good quality. My only complaint is that the back panel of the cabinet is a much flimsier and soft piece of particle board and isn't nearly as sturdy as the other cabinet pieces. We decided to purchase a piece of plastic or tarp to add a little extra protection to the back panel so if any urine happens to get on it, it will be more protected, although that hasn't been an issue for our cat but it might be for others. Overall we are happy with the purchase, and would recommend it especially for the price range. Make sure to set aside a few hours (3-4) for assembly, and I really do recommend some sort of extra protection for the back panel to avoid urine absorption. Make sure to read every step of the directions carefully before you begin assembling it, preferably a couple times. I love this cat tree and cat box hider! I’ve had it about 3 months and my kitten has easily learned how to use it and enjoys every part of it! He likes to rub on the soft parts and scratch the posts! He sleeps in the little sack and on the top. He has played with the fuzzy toys on top so much that one of them he did physically rip apart. But I love that you can put other cat toys in the hole because they’re removable! It’s super easy to wipe down and to put together. It’s the perfect size and is super stable on the ground! This was one of the easiest things I have ever put together. The instructions were very clear. I usually have trouble putting things together but I took my time and followed the manual. It took me a little over an hour. I introduced my cats to it and they seem to like it. I also like the fact that it saves space. This is a nice cat tree. It’s sturdy and well made and it’s attractive to look at. The cat in the photo is a 14 week old, roughly 5lb kitten so it’s possible that it would not be suitable for larger cats. The other cat in the home is an almost 17 year old large cat that won’t use any of the upper pieces but does seem to like laying on the inside of the enclosed cabinet. That being said, he is currently 11lbs but in his prime was 14-15lbs. His size combined with his arthritis may make it where the small door going in and out of that box will be too painful and he will ultimately not use it. He does need to stoop quite a bit to go in and out. The kitten is thoroughly enjoying it and should get a lot of use out of it. The instructions were easy enough to follow but pay attention to the orientation. I was easily able to assemble on my own. ... show more

Nice looking but disappointed over the size this is not suitable for big cats, the top bed is small with no padding so I put a cushion pad underneath before putting the cover on or they'd be lying on the board not that it's big enough for my cats to sleep in, the small hideaway box is only suitable for kittens again with no padding so I am using that to keep their food bowls in, the hammock is the best part of the whole unit but again not for big cats, not sure if my cats will even use it due to its size. It is is very stable and the litter tray hideaway is good my cats actually used it as soon as their tray went in. I wish it had more scratch posts rather than the fluffy ones which are of no use. If I had seen this in a store already set up I wouldn't have bought it, too much to take it down and return so I will keep it for now until I get a more suitable one for my two large cats and donate this one to my local cat shelter who always has kittens waiting for new homes. ... show more

Very sturdy product. Took some time to put it together but not bad! Cat litter pan fits good in the cabinet. My cats are about 10/11 lbs. they seem to like it and don’t feel unsteady.
