  • Quality vs Value: Both
Color: Red Dot
This is now my 2nd OSight product. I own many of the other name brands, including open and closed, and a required brand for a duty gun for (LE) work. This RD is easy to install, easy to zero, comes w/ multiple sizes and types of base screws, cable, charger, adjustment tool, cover and lens cleaner - all very nice and well thought out. As you may or may not know, the red dot is made with a rechargeable battery. Something no other red dot has (at this time). It is innovative, and more important, it's consistent. it gives piece of mind that the red dot will work when needed, or at least, has a lower chance of battery failure vs. replacing a conventional battery. There are 3 reticle choices: regular red dot (my choice), red dot with a circle, and a plain reticle-circle. For its' price, that is very good. The best draw for me: for the price of less than half of some of the top names, you get a crisp large sight picture, it is super-clear, the glass quality is excellent, and the field of view is as good at the best red competition red dots. It is programable, has a light/brightness sensor, you can lock in your choice of "go-to" brightness and setting, or you can adjust manually. It also has motion sensor capability (aside from the light sensor). I have mine attached to a Sig Sauer P320 FS. It was easy to zero, has held zero with +p 124 grn ammo, for 1K+ rounds. I've had no issues (installed properly with thread locker and properly cleaning before installation). The only downsides (1) no backup sights on the red dot itself - with all the thought placed into this along with the included features and parts, how hard would it have ben to just place some ridges for a rough back up sight? But it does co-witness with suppressor height sights. (2) It also needs a plate to install. For the price, it's a great value. If it was priced at 2x or 3x, it's glass and its functionality compete with every other top-of-the line product on the market. In fact, the glass is clearer and sharper than almost any other red dot on the market. I've had no issues at all at this time ... show more

  • Precise and Durable - a combo that can’t be beat!
Color: Red Dot
I recently picked up the Osight X red dot sight for my rifle, and I’ve got to say, it’s been an absolute game-changer for my shooting! As someone who values reliability and precision, especially for tactical scenarios and range days, the Osight X has exceeded every expectation I had. Right off the bat, I was impressed with how easy it was to mount. The Osight X uses the RMR footprint, which fit perfectly on my rifle. I also love that it comes with a Picatinny mount option. The low-profile design keeps my sight picture clean, and the two cross bolts on the mount lock it down tight—I’ve put over 500 rounds through it, and it hasn’t budged at all. The glass on this thing is fantastic. The 24 mm × 21.5 mm multi-coated lens gives me a wide, crystal-clear view with zero distortion, even when I’m moving my head around. It’s parallax-free, so I can keep both eyes open and stay on target effortlessly. The large window makes picking up the dot a breeze, which is crucial for quick target acquisition during dynamic drills. The reticle options are a big win for me—I can switch between a 3 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or both, depending on what I’m doing. I usually run the dot-only for precision shooting, but the circle-dot combo is great for faster engagements, especially in low light. The battery life and charging system are where the Osight X really shines. It’s got a built-in 170 mAh lithium polymer battery that lasts up to 57,000 hours on the third brightness level—basically forever for my needs. The magnetic charging cover is such a cool feature; it not only protects the lens but also acts as a power bank, fully charging the sight up to three times before needing a recharge itself. I love that it has a battery display showing the charge levels for both the optic and the cover—no more guessing if I’m good to go. I’ve charged it once in the past month, and it’s still running strong after multiple range sessions. Durability is another area where the Osight X impresses. It’s built with OAL aluminum alloy, which feels tough but keeps the weight down to just 1.41 oz. I’ve tested it in some rough conditions—rain, dirt, and even a few accidental drops—and it’s held zero perfectly every time. It’s IPX6 waterproof, so I don’t have to worry about the weather, and it’s handled the recoil from my 9mm with no issues. The motion sensor is a nice touch too; the sight wakes up the second I pick up my gun and shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity, saving battery without me having to think about it. I also appreciate the brightness settings—10 for daylight and 2 for night vision. The auto-sensing mode adjusts the brightness based on the light around me, but I usually stick to manual mode so I can fine-tune it myself. Even in bright sunlight, the dot is crisp and clear with no blooming, and it’s just as sharp indoors. Overall, the Osight X has quickly become my go-to optic. It’s rugged, versatile, and packed with innovative features like the magnetic charging system and multi-reticle options. For the price, I don’t think you can find a better red dot that delivers this level of performance. Whether I’m training at the range, running drills, or setting up for home defense, the Osight X has my back. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality optic that won’t break the bank. I’m already thinking about grabbing another one! ... show more

  • Absolutely killer sight, stop reading and buy it
Color: Green Dot
I have replaced three Trijicon RMRs with three of these. The reticles are sharp and bright, the glass is great and the window size is perfect. The usb-c power shroud is fantastic, no more losing zero to change a flipping battery like the RMR. You charge the shroud and drop it on magnetically to charge the sight. The sight comes packaged as well as an Apple product, and they give you a ton of extra screws and support stuff like the tool and cleaning cloth. These are so well-priced that you could grab three for the same price as one SRO, put one on a sidearm and put the others on offsets for your rifle platforms. Cannot recommend these enough! ... show more

  • Olight X is Oright by me - Greatness has been delivered.
Color: Red Dot
Wow! Now this is innovation. I bought this Olight X to serve as my Off-Sight to my Geissele GFR 6mm ARC. Not sure yet how difficult it will be to mount to my RMR footprint Area 419, 35 degree low profile mount. Will see how it goes but I'm sure I'll find a solution., The Olight X is a game changer with it's charging cover able to charge the RDS 3 times. So that's a total of 4 full charges 1 on the RDS itself and 3 in the hood. No batteries, and the RDS has exceptional battery storage to boot and shake awake. The X also has good size glass where it should be no problem to take advantage of a larger field of view using both eyes and having almost parallax free shooting. That's extremely important. They knocked it out of the park with nice large and clear glass, charging system, 3 MOA dot and a 32 MOA donut reticle, material science that has outstanding strength and lightness with their OAL metal, ease of use mounting system, premiere packaging with easy to use instructions and a lifetime warranty. What's not to love. The O light X has arrived with the potential of leaving other competitor RDS optics in the dust. I give them 5 Stars. If they made a fast charge solar hood they'd get six stars. Yes the reticle is red and their isn't other reticle choices like chevron or larger MOA dots choices yet, but they are making a green reticle X soon and I imagine they might come out with larger MOA dot reticles later. Watch out, Olight is a real disrupter in the RDS market. It's schweet! ... show more

  • Better Than Some $400+ Optics I Have Used
Color: Red Dot
I am very impressed with the OSIGHT X. The multi-reticle option is clear and easy to use, and the charging cover is a great feature. Honestly, this sight is better than some other $400 units I have used in the past. Excellent quality and value for the price.

  • Awesome optic (500 rounds tested)
Color: Red Dot
Just finished putting 500 rounds through my CZ scorpion Micro 3+ with my new Osight X. I ordered a Reptilia 1.75" riser in the RMR foot print for this new optic. It sits perfectly on my PCC so that my neck isn't pressed down giving me more of a heads up shooting stance. Mounting the optic and the riser took less than 5 minutes and was super easy. It's a direct mount. The holographic sight is great and a lot less money than my Holosun 501c that I own. The wireless charger is probably the coolest feature I've ever seen on an optic. The fact that I don't have to change batteries every year on my birthday is a game changer in the optic category. The optic came charged so I can't wait till it runs down so I can use the wireless charger and see how efficient it is. After 500 rounds (two different days shooting) the holographic sight has not lost its zero. Over all this is a great buy and I'm very happy with my purchase. At this price point I can afford to get a few more optics from Osight to add to my other guns. I'll update this review once I've put a few thousand rounds through it. Over all its a 5 out of 5!!! ... show more

  • Works well, but it probably won't cowitness with your suppressor height sights.
Color: Red Dot
I got this sight because I was tired of rezeroing my sights every year when I change batteries. What I found was that the charging system works as advertised. I really like being able to know how much charge the red dot has. The window is big and the glass is clear. It was easy to mount and the dot is good. I marked it down one star because the base is very thick and even suppressor height iron sights are barely visible in the window. I want the irons visible. I have run red dots for several years and even great red dot brand products do go down occasionally. Irons also are an easy way to verify your zero. This red dot is also pretty heavy compared to my other red dots. This red dot weight seems to have slowed down my slide which isn't optimal. I only have about 200 rounds in it, but so far it has held zero. Time will tell if it is reliable. ... show more
