The 2.5K video quality is a noticeable upgrade. The image is sharp, detailed, and clear enough to easily identify faces, read labels, or see fine movement that lower-resolution cameras tend to blur out. Whether used indoors or outdoors, the clarity holds up well during the day and at night. This makes them great not only for security, but also for use as baby monitors or pet cameras where detail really matters. Color night vision is another standout feature. With adequate ambient light, these cameras deliver color footage at night that’s genuinely useful instead of grainy or washed out. This camera is straight up on point and I would have given it 5 stars if not for ONE FATAL FLAW. So lets go through the pros and cons PROS: 1. Easy Setup and connectivity 2. Super sharp image 3. great performance even outdoors 4. compact design 5. Micro SD card slot CONS: 1. Useless with recovering a recorded video (let me explain) Remember that Micro SD card slot which is designed to record video. If you use the app to view the video it will play great. However, if you remove the SD card slot to download the video this is where the design falls apart. The video is broken into 1 minute intervals. Let;s say you manually recorded an event that was on your camera that lasted an hour and a half. Now you have to find the folder for the day in question....Then find the folder for the hour (in this case and hour and half... two folders) in question..... within this folder you will have 60 videos (60 seconds in length).....now you have to import it into a video editing software and stitch these 90 video segments together. so that you now have the video that you asked the software to manually record in the first place. That you should have the ability to download in its entirety. WYZE you got to do better than that. Other than that one aspect...great camera. ... show more

13 Wyze cameras — avoid them. I’m posting this because I relied on these cameras every single day to protect the welfare of my horses, monitor the workers on my property, keep an eye on the horse paddocks, watch the gates, track guests coming in, and stay on top of the 50–60 deliveries we get each week. These cameras weren’t a toy or a hobby — they were a critical part of running a working property safely and responsibly. For 18 months, everything worked. My 13 Wyze cameras (10 Pan Cam 3 units and 3 standard cams) performed well. I could: • Monitor horse care • Verify workers were doing the right tasks • Keep the horse paddocks monitored • Watch gate traffic and deliveries Events loaded daily, motion and sound alerts worked, and playback was reliable. I trusted the system. Then the last two firmware updates destroyed everything. In the last six weeks, every single camera began failing: • Events disappear for hours or days • Motion and sound alerts don’t show up • Event playback freezes or never loads • Cameras lock up constantly • Pan cams move on their own • The app hangs when switching cameras • And most importantly: Even cameras with NO SD card installed still fail, proving this is not a storage issue This is a Wyze firmware and cloud failure, not user error. Support has been a complete dead end. I’ve spent: • 30+ hours on the phone • 20+ emails • Zero access to an engineer You only get a front-line person who doesn’t understand the full situation, doesn’t relay the details correctly, and keeps promising callbacks that never happen. Wyze replaced one camera out of thirteen and refused to investigate the root cause. Why this matters. When you’re responsible for animals, workers, guests, deliveries, and property security, you need cameras you can trust. I depended on these cameras every day. Now I can’t rely on them at all. Final verdict. Wyze cameras worked well for 18 months, but after the last two updates, they’ve become completely unreliable. Events vanish, cameras freeze, recordings fail, and support goes nowhere. I can no longer trust the system, and I strongly caution anyone who needs dependable monitoring — especially for animals, property, or business activity — to think twice. ... show more
