I recently purchased the 5 DEKCO 2K WiFi Surveillance Security Cameras for outdoor home monitoring, and overall, I’m quite impressed with the value it offers for the price. We have one camera in our property in another State and 4 at our main residence. They are fantastic. 📷 Video Quality The 2K resolution delivers sharp, clear images—definitely a step up from standard 1080p. Daytime footage is crisp and detailed, and the infrared night vision is surprisingly good, even in complete darkness. The built-in floodlight also enhances night visibility with color footage, which is a nice bonus. 🎥 Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) & Coverage The camera offers a wide 350° horizontal and 90° vertical rotation, which you can control remotely via the app. It covers a huge area with just one device, eliminating most blind spots around my front yard. 📱 App & Connectivity Setup was quick and fairly straightforward, although I did have to make sure my WiFi was on a 2.4GHz band (it doesn’t support 5GHz). The app (CloudEdge) allows for real-time viewing, motion alerts, and two-way audio. I’ve found the notifications timely and helpful, but sometimes a bit too sensitive (e.g., detecting moving branches). 💾 Storage & Playback It supports microSD cards up to 128GB, and there's also an option for cloud storage. I opted for the SD card to avoid monthly fees, and playback has worked reliably so far. I am actually very surprised at the quality of this camera. I got this to keep an eye on my sweet kitty when I am out of town, but I do tend to check on her sometimes when I am at work. The picture is very clear & its very user friendly. My sister has a couple of these & recommended it.

Received in good shape exactly as described. Setup was about as easy as it gets. Mounting the camera was a snap. 20 feet from my modem, and the signal is very strong. Still learning all the features, but the picture on my phone is great, camara tracks well, and notifies me whenever anyone arrives. This thing is a deal!

The image when streaming, and videos stored by the camera's microSD card are good quality. At the proper height frames are clear enough for positive identification. (I had temporarily mounted it in two other positions, capturing foreheads and eyebrows before finding a location that was both pleasing and effective.) When I initially set it up I had omitted the microSD card intending to save directly to the cloud so I skipped the free trial and paid the subscription. It was affordable so I just went for it. Don't go that route. the microSD really isn't optional. Lesson learned. There are a LOT of settings and options within the app. I scratched my head over it for quite a while until I figured out where everything was at. You can set the alarm zone, set up siren and 'light' options within the alarm zone, utilize the camera as an intercom, and more. I like the motion tracking at first, but the camera does not return to "home" after tracking ends so I found the camera live-view pointing in all sort of weird angles that I had to keep correcting and finally gave up and turned motion tracking off. A "re-home" option would be a great addition to the camera. Now that I have figured out all of the nuances, it's really a good camera and definitely worth the wading through of brief adventures getting it set up. UPDATE: In my original review I complained about being unable to record "all day" to the cloud after paying for the annual service. As it turns out, the camera automatically defaults to a 7-day trail service that can only record "events" to the cloud, even if you choose "All Day Recording". Once that 7-day trail service elapses the all day recording subscription automatically begins. You have no choice but to wait out the 7-days, even if you try to go through their technical support. Just be patient. It will kick in.
