After doing some research when looking into cameras for our 2 kids’ rooms, we decided to buy these ones (despite the bad reviews in regards to connectivity issue). Both cameras worked fine for the first few weeks, no issues or anything. Then they both started with same issues - would not connect, would randomly connect/disconnect on its own, and majority of nights would not connect back after disconnecting. It would have the same screen on all night that says to check the router & connect the camera. The screen is huge, it has a clear day/night picture and you can see both cameras on a split screen. Moving cameras around was great as well. It would absolutely be worth every penny if the product itself was developed correctly and didn’t have all these connectivity issues. ... show more

This system is awesome. I love the double camera, I’m currently using one in her play area, the other one in her room for her crib. There is a slight delay but nothing I didn’t expect. The picture and sound on it are great. The only thing I wish was the feature that they provide on the phone where you can pause the alerts for every 10 min, I don’t know why that feature is only on the phon and not the monitor as well. ... show more

The best picture night or day, IF I have a connection issue it lasts seconds. I love the split screen option for my two kids, and being able to move the camera remotely. Highly recommended as a mom of a newborn and special needs toddler!!

I have problems with it staying connected to our WiFi. It randomly just shuts off and says it’s not connected, but we can pull it up on our phones just fine. So I’m not sure what the problem is. Other than that, we really like this camera & monitor. It’s good quality, and the monitor is HUGE.

I waited to review this baby monitor until I was able to use it for an extended period of time. Overall I really like this monitor. The screen is big and bright. We got the two camera system which makes traveling a breeze. One we keep connected and set up at home and the other is our travel camera. I like that you have the option to connect to secure Wi-Fi or connect directly to one another if you don’t have the option for Wi-Fi. I would say 90% of the time we have no issues and have a clear screen. The other 10% random times the screen will go glitchy or randomly drop connection. This may be due to location and how many walls are in between the camera and monitor. It could also be a Wi-Fi connectivity issue. Again it doesn’t happen often but when it does, it’s a little frustrating. As for battery life, we can use the monitor unplugged all day for naps but do have to plug it in overnight because the battery doesn’t last that long. The media could not be loaded. First of all this monitor screen is like a mini tablet! I didn’t think it would be so big when I bought it and didn’t like it at first but I actually enjoy the screen size now while it’s on the split screen showing both cameras. I also enjoy having access to the cameras on my phone through the app while I am not near the monitor or while I’m away from home. Set up was also very quick and easy. Very disappointed in this monitor. We ended up purchasing as a dual monitor with the arrival of our second child. First, we have intermittent connectivity issues in which the signal from the camera drops to the parent handheld. However, that does not occur frequently and could also be due to the strength of our WiFi signal. The second issue is the sound sensitivity. In our infant’s room the parent module will not register her cries. Therefore, the only time we have heard her cries have been when we have woken up and heard her from down the hall. These aren’t small or quiet cries either, she can cry very loudly and the sound won’t come through. There are times where this does work and register small sounds she may make, but it is very inconsistent. Then, after about a week of using this monitor, the camera screen goes black. This does not happen with the camera for my other child’s room. When the camera does work, I do like the image quality and ease of use of the parent handheld. I also like the ability to view from either my cell phone or the parent handheld. We have contacted customer support for these issues, however in the meantime I cannot advise any parent to purchase this monitor. The entire purpose is so that I can hear my children in the night to be alerted to their needs, as well as see them, and it does not do that. Update: contacted customer service via email. It took them 4 business days to respond (with an automated response stating it should take only 1-2 business days to receive a response). Then, once I received a response, there was a request for 8 items of information complete with photo proof of our purchase and serial numbers on each of the cameras and the monitor. I immediately submitted this information, and now I have yet to hear from anyone for approximately a week. I have sent follow-up emails as well. At this point, I do not even want a warranty replacement, but a full refund. However, I have little hope for this as reading the fine-print under the warranty information from their website that it doesn’t seem that refunds are an option. For this terrible customer service, I cannot recommend this company. For the poor function of the device, I cannot recommend this item. Update #2: Finally was able to speak with a Vtech representative. If you call their customer support line, many of the phone trees end in a "dead end" of sorts in which you are not able to be connected with an actual representative. The only person I was able to connect through to speak with about the defective device was through the sales hotline as if I was going to purchase a new device. Eventually, he informed me that since my device was purchased through Amazon, I needed to pursue my complaint with amazon. Unfortunately, in my chats with Amazon, they referred me back to Vtech customer support as I am outside of the 30 day return window with Amazon. Overall, simply put- I cannot recommend this device to any parent. There are very clear safety concerns with such a defective device, and customer support has been impossible to communicate with and have not been assistive. I have never had such issues like this with any device or with customer service before. Please learn from my issues and keep browsing for another device that is worth your near $200 investment. ... show more
