I like this okay. The ability to scan a scene in real-time is useful. The image day and night are excellent. It captures sound and that works well. The interface is terrible. I signed up for premium service, but intermittently it won't let me review past events anyway. Finding the events list is tricky, too. Sometimes it's front and center, sometimes it's not. These days most security cameras are quite good and at a reasonable price -- and I've tried out most consumer brands -- it's the interface that makes the difference. This one is not great.

I was so happy when I discovered the Wyze brand about 2 years ago. I bought many Wyze Cam Pans and even installed a 4 camera system in my friend's mother's in law apartment. (I think the grammar is right?) .I also recommended to many friends and colleagues. I purchased a scale, a watch and was a promoter of the brand. About 6 months ago, one of the cams went off line. When I tried to pair it up again, the cam would not pair with my phone. As much as I tried, it wasn't possible to pair them. Then it happened to a second cam. When I tried pairing, it went up until "ready to connect",but it wouldn't pair. I tried turning the bar codeupside down and sideways, moving the phone closer, the further back. After about 45 minutes of trying I gave up and I went to the Wyze website to ask what to do next. They were great. It took about 30 minutes and I sent several photos and detailed what happened. They sent me 2 new Cam Pans and I paired them up and they worked fine.... for a little while. The same thing as before happened to both of the new cams. The cam wouldn't recognize the barcodes. I tried for 30 minutes, then I tried the next few days and they just wouldn't pair. In fact, one of them didn't even get to 'ready to connect". I think Wyze products, overall, are great. However, the fact that 4 of the last 5 cams that I received all suffered from the same problem is very troubling. I can, and will, return the 2 cams that they sent. It is just the inconvenience of having to go online when they stop working to contact customer service that has me rating them at 3 stars.. Maybe they got too big too quickly? Whatever it is, I will try once more and see if the 2 replacements that they send to me work and continue working for more than a week.

the only reason i took one star away is because alot of the time i cannot hear what is being said because there is a very loud static sound that comes from the play back and live video when trying to look at the recording/live feed. ( I have more than one of the pan scan cameras and only one does this. I have tried everything including spent some time on the phone with customer service to try and resolve the issue, and it still has not been resolved) Im really hoping they will come out with some sort of child monitor as I do really like the cameras.

I have mine positioned in a window facing my front door. It's great since the app allows me to monitor whenever I want as long as I'm connected via WiFi. This camera is not waterproof in particular. However, it is great if you need to keep an eye out from inside. This pan camera allows you to pan and tilt your view to practically 360 degrees. It does not come with an SD card, so purchasing one before hand is highly recommend if you want to play back into a particular point in time although it is not required. No SD card means you can only monitor live streams. Monthly service is not required, but there is one available if you want premium options. Monthly fee is low, so it's something to consider.
