Great product - DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THE STICKER!!!

This product is really great especially at this price point. The only problem I had was self-inflicted - there's a sticker on the lens and on one of them we forgot to remove it. So what would happen is the image would devolve into kind of a blurry eyeball-looking thing, and made the camera output almost unusable. I finally realized it, removed the sticker, and it works great now. If I were the manufacturer I'd make it more obvious that there's a sticker on there (it's transparent). But for the buyer, just make sure to remove it! ... show more

Great Camera, Excellent Customer Support

There’s a lot to like about this camera. Here are the pros: • Incredibly easy to set up once you have the app • Great image quality • Great night vision quality • Excellent range of motion for panning • Great sound quality, my boyfriend was able to perfectly hear me singing and rapping while he was spying on me • Records event clips when motion is detected, which my boyfriend is extra excited about now that he has a bunch of clips of me singing, rapping, and dancing around while cleaning • Great quality and volume enables me to tell my dog to get off the table or yell at my boyfriend to wake up off the couch and do some laundry or something. No more avoiding my calls or texts on his day off, no mercy! • Great customer support and warranty! When my derpy idiot dog knocked the camera down 4 days after we got it, the image turned magenta. A simple chat with support via the phone app resulted in Wyze Cam sending a new unit, free of charge! Cons: • Does not come with much in the way of instructions • Does not come with any sort of mount or anything I can’t really say anything bad about this camera so far. We have been very pleased and ended up purchasing other units for various parts of our property to enhance our security. They work but I'm disappointed.

I originally ordered 2 of these in August 2020 and had 1 replaced in October 2022. Sometimes I have to restart the app because it either can't find the memory cards or simply can't pass the third security step and actually log into one, or the other camera. A simple restart of the effected camera usually solves the problem. I recently bought a 3rd camera as I need to keep an eye on my elderly mother now living with me while I'm at work. Same issues with this one. As well, one of the original 2 does not show in color anymore. It's just a black and white picture as though it's stuck in night vision mood 24/7 no matter how bright the sun's shining in the room. I've kept up with and updated the firmware in each camera and the app as they come available to no avail. UPDATE: 8/1/23 -- The one that was in B&W has now gone back to seeing in color with the latest update. I'm frustrated with the little quirks as I need to be able to check in on her a moments notice and not have to wait a minute or more to access the feed. This doesn't happen a lot, but enough, and seems like it happens when I really need access, like "now" to be sure she's alright at times. That and I purchased memory cards for all 3 when I bought the cameras so I wouldn't have to rely on the Wyze servers or pay just to monitor things. The fine print regarding the monitoring service allows them to use any clip at will for their purposes ...whatever that may be. Another pet peeve is Wyze constantly throws and nagging box up at random when I'm trying to access video clips on the memory cards remotely trying to sell said services. 1 click turns it off. It's just an annoyance I don't need. Particularly when in a hurry to check on things. No thank you Wyze. So my experience thus far has been so-so. Looking at other possible options at this time. I have 5 of these cameras. Four of them are outdoors although they are not rated for outdoors. They've been through a least one winter. They are located under the eaves of the house. One of them tends to loose some movement range in cold weather, but otherwise no problem and I love'm. I did have trouble with one of the early camera on initial set up. I returned/replaced it immediately and the rest of them have been trouble free. Wyze has an increasing range of produces that I hope to test soon. ... show more

Everything about this camera is great.... until it stops working (multiple cameras, same result)

This camera has great picture quality, night vision and is really affordable, but unfortunately it's cheap quality and doesn't last more than a few weeks of use. We bought our first one as a pet camera, but after a smooth setup and two weeks of use, the light went red and never reconnected. We reached out to amazon and were sent a replacement. Within a few weeks of having that one set up, it did the same thing. We were made aware on our first replacement that wyze has a warranty guarantee, so instead of reaching out to amazon we figured we'd go straight to wyze. Our first support request went no where, and we missed Amazon's return window during this time, so we just stopped using the camera for a couple months hoping a break and a reset would help bring it back to life. Nope - it never reconnected regardless of trying every troubleshooting method we could find online, and our same issue seems to be common based on what we found researching. We reached out to support again, and this time got a quick response, but weren't offered any assistance in getting our camera back on. Instead, we were given a gift card to buy yet another one directly from them. This would have been fine except it shows the company doesn't even stand by the longevity of their devices. Further, they only reimbursed for the cost of the camera, no tax. Shipping costs $5.99 as well, so we ended up having to pay more $ just to get our replacement camera- regardless of their warranty claims of a guarantee. We needed a camera set up asap, so we ordered, but my expectations are incredibly low that it will actually work, and we plan to replace it with a higher quality camera in the next few months. It's sad because I really was excited about this company and how they were making home security accessible, but this camera in particular is junk and I am disappointed in their handling of our issue. ... show more
