Works great with our Arlo purchases 4yrs ago. Design is great, clarity pretty decent, easy to use and night vision is as expected. Easy to mount. However check on solar panels for the model so you don’t have to keep taking it down to charge. Have fun

This Arlo Pro 4 Camera is NOT ready for "PRIME" Time. It is a so called "outdoor" wireless camera but does not work below Zero! I live in Minnesota, so that means many, many, days and nights with no useful camera. Poor description, simply not good in cold climates. AND, as most people know, batteries function less well when it is very cold, so the ACTUAL discharge from 100% to "unable to function" due to low battery was ONLY TWO WEEKS. So, if you have in mounted outdoors high enough up to keep it from easily being stolen, you will have to get the stepladder out every two weeks to bring the camera in to recharge the battery. Probably, in a warm climate it would last longer, but I seriously doubt it would last more than a month since the 2 original weeks were all above zero F. If you bought a Tesla, and the car told you it would "have to warm up" before you could use it due to cold, you'd say that the product is not useable. ... show more

I have an older Pro setup and wanted to "swap out" some cameras. This worked great as an add-on, and the base station supported it as well (which was a HUGE relief to me, because I didn't want to have to buy a new base station). It works well and the motion detection is sensitive enough to catch my cats at night doing random silly things. (It's pointing to my front door, but the FOV is enough that it catches a fair amount of the living room floor) I didn't answer the battery life question because all my cameras are "wired". If you don't have them plugged in, you can't go back and see the timeline of what happened in the past. ... show more

The installation is extremely simple, you just choose the place and place it with a small screw to hold the base, the image is good, the motion detection is very good, but I don't like that you can't really see the video live, the video has a delay of a few seconds, but it's enough to miss the action really live (I have a good internet speed 1gb and mesh tplink) but my biggest problem was the battery life, I installed it on a Sunday afternoon with 100 % charge and on Wednesday afternoon it only had 10%, that was enough for me and I returned this camera. ... show more

    • Great security cameras but difficult to set up.
Arlo security camera. Works great. But sometimes a bit difficult to set up and us the controls. Really have to have patience to setup. If not connecting to your wifi, just start from beginning and reset completely.

Still working since the day I bought it. I love Arlo cameras. They might work if placed directly against an inside window, facing out, taped to window - day and night. Definitely, they work outside. I have used them for many years. Would buy again.
