Description

The chain pitch is an industrial-quality 3/8”, and the included Bar & Chain Sheath add an extra layer of protection during storage. See the pictures to see what size or tree you can fell with this little monster. No more yanking the rope on a gas saw each time I need to make a cut. No noise. Instant start. I have been using this little saw for about a month now. The first thing to note about is that the battery only lasts a maximum of 15mins if used intermittently and about 10 mins continuously. For this simple reason, this saw is for very small and basic jobs. If you intend to fell down a tree and cut it up to firewood piece sizes, consider another saw. Another downside is that the charging takes likes 5 hours to 6 hours if the battery was totally worn. Its a bit annoying if you have a job you want to finish. you wait for so long and then in 15 minutes the juice is gone again. In my opinion the 20V 2AH battery is the worst part of this little machine. That said, the thing can cut up to 8 inch diameter tree with little sweat. My chain has gotten blunt really fast though. I think it could help to sell these things with a chain sharpener file or whatever they are called. I would also encourage one to buy one with the 40V battery or at the least buy 2 batteries. Its very light so anyone can operate it. The chain oil gets swallowed but not as fast as some people had put it here. Overall for the price and for all its worth, its still a practical machine. I also like the fact that it has a good warranty which means its a sound machine. My only problem is what I have mentioned before. Battery power too short while taking too long to recharge. I have several other WORX tools, so it makes sense to buy a Worx chainsaw - all use the same, interchangeable battries. This chainsaw is lightweight, so easy to handle, and perfect for small trees, dead bushes, etc. I have always been afraid of using a chainsaw (how tight should the chain be, in what sdirection should it be installed, etc). This chainsaw provides enough graphics and text to alleviate these concerns. It's also got a great "tightening" feature which also removes some concerns. Obviously people experienced in chainsaws don't have my concerns and might consider this chainsaw as sort of "wimpy." But for me it does what I want without causing my immediate death!!!! The proiblem is the battery (or batteries): The 20V 2oh (included) lasts about 10 minutes!! So you need several batteries or at least one o two of the more expensive longer-lasting ones. And to charge the 2.0 battery takes 3-4 hours. Each Worx tool comes with one 2.0 battery and charger - so I have lots of them, but it is sort of a pain. If you buy the chainsaw be sure to buy chainsaw oil as well. ... show more

I bought this to cut through smaller branches. Although it didn't come with bar chain oil which was inconvenient, but once we bought some and added it to the saw, we were able to test it out. I worked great cutting through some thick tree branches. It's not as hefty as a gas powered chainsaw but it serves a purpose when a gas chainsaw is inconvenient to use. ... show more

I waited 6 months before writing this review. I bought this saw in July of 2023 wanting it for limbing downed trees and cutting small brush. When the coil on my regular gas chainsaw failed shortly before a large dead tree fell near my house, this was all I had to go with. I was amazed that I was able to not just trim the limbs off, but I was able to cut the 12 inch thick trunk into sections that I could manage. I've used it extensively for six months, sometimes foregoing my gas saw in favor of it. The chain it came with lasted an incredible amount of time before needing sharpening. A great little saw with an annoying design feature. The chain adjuster was seemingly an attempt to make the function automatic when the adjuster knob was turned. I am used to turning a screw and then tightening nuts. It seemed the chain would be too loose or too tight for me. I returned for refund.

This is one awesome battery powered chainsaw. Easy to assemble. Comes with everything you need with the exception of the chainsaw bar oil. Cut threw old utility poles like butter. Easy and lightweight chainsaw for those with wrist problems. Cut down trees,cut 2 x 4's with no problem. This item is amazing and awesome. No need to bother with gas and oil mixing.
