Description

Get expertly landscaped results with the 40v Power Share 13” cordless string trimmer and wheeled edger. 40v is double the power of most string trimmers. So we’ve included two 20v Power Share max lithium batteries to double your runtime and give your trimmer/edger gas-like performance. Not only that, you can use these batteries on any lawn or power tool on the WORX Power Share platform. It’s easy to switch this trimmer into an edger, just push a button and rotate the head. The command feed spool system gives you more line at the press of a button. The variable speed throttle lets you ramp up the rpms for tougher grass or decrease the speed to save battery when the trimming is easy. This tool has the same line that professional lawn care crews use on their trimmers, so you’ll be proud of the results. The adjustable D-grip handle lets you work from any angle, and the pivoting head lets you cut on uneven stretches of lawn.

  • I am thrilled with this
My husband passed and I can not use his yard stuff all gasoline and I had tried electic before yrs ago but it’s a Hassel to drag wire around my yard is very large. Hate haveing to put others out to do my yard when they are busy with their own jobs and yard. I have bought words tools before as Christmas presents and he loved all of them and the are share batteries which made it really nice I’ve been looking at the battery operated weed eaters and decided to check out what worx had as nothing has ever give out on us. Well I got this really fast which thrilled me cause I was trying to bet incoming rain. It went to gather easily with only 1 screw. And utube . It works so great my brother tried it and he has a big styl trimmer and loved mine said he was going get one. He had used 20 volt before and was unimpressed but this is 40 volts and is awesome. My problem I am having is I 5’2” tall which I can work around but my hands are small and hitting the two buttons at one is a stretch for me I can do it okay for short periods at a time than rest my hand. I’m not sending this jewel back and will figure out something. Being 73 yrs old I needed something lighter than those big old trimmers out in the garage. So this is still heavier for me but no where as much as the others and I can work it pretty easy and did I mention a push of the button and the spool automatically lets out the line. No more banging on the ground or having to wind new line on. I’m really happy with this. Trimmer oh and it edge’s really nicely as well. ... show more

  • Great tool
First of all I have a 20v and 32v Worx grass trimmers and I love the weight and power they have. The only problem is that they don't run long enough for a 3 acre property. I don't do it all in one day, but like to go about 3 to 4 hours as I am a 74 year old woman. I bought this trimmer with 2 the 2- 20v batteries. I just used it today and it really works good cutting through taller weed grass with no problem. The batteries lasted about a 1/2 hour. I plugged them in the charger (which is great as it charges 2 at a time). I used the other trimmers and batteries (3) until they died. I checked the other batteries and they had already charged, so I could continue. I kept changing the batteries and charging my other 2-20v. I finally had to stop as I had been working 4 continuous hours but could have kept going all day with this charger. Finally, I can do as much as I want. I had been using a Black and Decker with 4 batteries, but it had no real power and the batteries died quickly. I live in Hawaii so there is never down time all year so I need a quality product which Worx is. They are also light weight. ... show more

  • Works well but battery life is not the best, also one complaint...
First off, I think the #1 thing everyone wants to know is if this works as well (or is as powerful) as a gas trimmer. I can absolutely say YES to that question. I've used several gas powered weed wackers in my life and this thing can do everything that they can, easily. In the power department, I have zero complaints. Now for battery life - its a little bit of a disappointment here. I'm not saying that its terrible by any means, its not. In fact I didn't dock a star for it (the docked star is for the issue below), but with the two batteries that come with it (2.0 Ah) you only get about 30 minutes of use out of it. I have a relatively small yard without a lot that needs to be trimmed (~half acre) and its just barely enough for me to finish everything on a charge. If you have a bigger yard or a lot of trees/edges that need trimming, it won't be enough. And FYI the batteries take about 2.5 hours to fully charge when depleted. Worx does make 4.0 Ah batteries you could buy so that would give you a lot more time. Weight - its just as heavy as a gas machine. But that's not a negative. If you want this kind of power you have to expect that. Be aware, if you buy the 4.0 Ah batteries that I mention above, it would be much heavier, possibly too heavy. Lastly is the complaint/problem that I have with it: In my opinion the protective shroud that comes with it is too obstructive. When it is on it covers too much of the string wheel and string which prevents you from seeing where the string is. It makes judging the distance from objects too difficult. Therefore I took it off. However, now that the shroud is off the string is constantly growing in length as I use it (without me pushing the release button). The shroud has a built in cutter that keeps the string at a constant length. They either designed the wheel to allow the string to release automatically/constantly and count on the shroud to keep it at length, OR there is something wrong with the one I have. Either way this is why I docked a star. This is very annoying AND its a waste of string. I have a feeling that they may have designed it to do this so you are forced into buying string more often. Its something you wouldn't notice at all if the shroud was on. To be honest I probably would have returned it because of this had I not already had several other Worx tools and batteries. But since I've already bought into the Worx 20V system I'm kind of stuck with it. Other than this one issue its a good trimmer, unfortunately this is one of those nagging problems that I have to deal with every single time I use it. ... show more

  • Upgraded from Worx GT
My Worx GT Revolution was too light-duty for my new home, so I purchased this unit as an upgrade. I love the idea of the trimmer and edger in one unit, as I have a lot of both to do. The 40v 2 battery combo lasts as long a the single battery did in the 20v GT model, but the 40v has more power, and I find myself moving through the work faster as a result. The heavier line breaks less often. While it is possible to string a heavier line into the GT spools, it does slow the head down, and shortens battery life. Compared to the GT, this is a heavier tool. The handle is less ergonomic, but similar to most other line trimmers on the market. There is a spot to clip on a shoulder strap, which may help, but I haven’t tried yet. This trimmer does NOT use the same spools as the GT, and there is no “Spools for Life” for it. However, the line is .080, and the spool holds 20’ instead of the 10’ of .065 that the GT holds. If you already have a bunch of Worx batteries, this is a good upgrade to the GT. Or, if you want a trimmer and edger in one unit, that can be easily switched on the fly, this is the tool for you. ... show more

  • Light weight
Style: 15" Trimmer/Corded
It is light weight, purchased because I have a cordless one different brand but the battery doesn’t last to do the whole yard. Also like the telescope bar design so I can make it very comfortable for me.

  • Pretty heavy for long duration, But Powerful motor
Okay first let me say I am a female with a decent amount of muscle, and this got a bit challenging for me to hold it on a long duration. It didn't feel too bad for the first five minutes, and then felt heavy and need more effort to keep holding as I trimmed. And when the battery finally gave out, my arms started to get that numb type of feeling and they were a bit trembly for at least 20 minutes after i was done. So ladies if you have a man that can do it instead i would highly recommend that or if not you should definitely try to see if there's anything extremely lightweight on the market. The edge trimmer position is on a wheel so a female will have no problem operating that function at all. The positive thing I'd like to say is its quite powerful to trim basic weeds. They couldn't stand a chance against this trimmers power. But the weeds with the shrub like sturdy stems should be cut cautiously. You have to have the trimmer shield positioned so the weed trimmings don't whip towards you. I caught a couple in my shins before I figured that out and believe me it hurt! So if you use the shield correctly you'll be safe. I wore plastic safety glasses, boots, and construction like workers gloves while operating. I highly recommend using these basic types of protective gear so you don't accidentally injure yourself. Its extremely easy to convert the trimmer into the edger position. You just push a button while you twist it into position. The edge trimmer effect works very well. It definitely cleaned a straight edge line along my concrete patio area. And the roller wheel made the task much easier. And last thing to say is the batteries don't last that long, but they also don't take too long to charge as well. I'd say the battery lasted about a 25 minutes to a half hour with continuous use. My property is small/medium sized, but I have a crap load of weeds and wasn't able to finish it on one battery charge. I pretty much got half the work done on one charge, so not too much of a complaint there. The batteries fully charge in like half an hour. Hope that helps everybody decide. Good luck.. ... show more

  • Easy to handle. More heavy duty then it looks.
I did not get any instructions manual so went online and found out the details I needed to know. It was pretty straight forward out of the box. It took me a little while to understand how the wheels works for edging and another day to find where I can store them on the handle. I was uncertain about the single line cutting action since my last unit had two strings, but the single does a fine job. Quiet and variable speed is a benefit for saving line. I have only had this trimmer for a month so cannot give any conclusion to is longevity, but it has done the job I wanted it to do. I have not had good luck with the auto line feed and use the manual feed to pull out when needed but the line seems to hold up for weeds and grass pretty well, but I can break it during edging more frequently. I love the dual battery pack charger. It charges the batteries pretty fast if needed. I have read other reviews and find they were mixed. Each reviewer has different circumstances for the trimmers use so I read carefully and make my judgment on the product and not how they experience in their personal experience. My experience so far is that if you want a quality-built trimmer and you are looking for a trimmer that will do small yard work (under 2000 sq feet-It may last much longer) I would recommend this product. ... show more
