Assembly is easy, handlebars with 2 nuts, 2 clips and 2 batteries. Mows as good or better than my gas mower but quietly. No gas, oil, filters or fumes that I never noticed before now. Whole yard done on one charge of my 4ah batteries (charging 5ah batteries that come with mower). Mulches very well. Not self-propelled, I didn’t want that. Plastic deck is fine, don’t need steel deck. Highly recommend, as the mower exceeds expectations. Very happy with this and all my Worx tools. If you’re on the fence, try it, you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

Ordered this to replace my old gas mower. I was pleasantly impressed by how well it cuts the grass, after reading the reviews, I ordered this model. The mower is packaged very well, and arrived a week earlier than expected. It is pretty easy to put together since it is mostly assembled, just need to add the handle and the bag/side shoot assemble. I’m not big into clipping so I opted for the rear side shoot setup. Mower comes with a mulching insert, that needs to be removed before using the other two methods. But it easily lifts out. I cut my grass with it, just this morning and found it, not as noisy as my old gas mower, and the ease of starting it, no more yanking the chain forever. Simply push the button while pushing it in, lift up the bar and it starts with no issue. Had to read the instructions to start it, as of course I assumed it was like my gas model at first I tried to lift the handle then press the button to start, then I read the directions and learned it was just a little bit different, push and hold the button then lift the bar and it popped right off. The ease of setup also included no additional oil, no need of gas, just charge the batteries. Comes with two batteries and a double charger, to charge both at the same time. This is not a self propelled model, but it is easy to push, as it’s lighter in weight than the old standard. The 21 inch sized cutting deck, handled my medium small yard in no time. The batteries only used 1 bar. Still plenty of charge left. Made of thick durable plastic and some metal, it should last. My only con is the instructions, small and hard to see diagrams, with no step by step instructions, horrible instruction manual, but it is easy enough to figure out, after an extra minute of thought. ... show more

I loved the ease of assembly. It was out of the box and ready to use in minutes. The battery life is outstanding, plus I could use my lower Ah rated Worx batteries if needed. This mower comes with two 5Ah batteries with a quick charger and they lasted my entire 40 minute mowing time. (Worx batteries can be left on the charger without damage to the battery life.) We have average sized city front and back yards with about 7,550 square feet +/- 10. I only used one bar out of 5 for the whole job. The mower weighs about half as much as my gas powered one, so there is much less fatigue involved--not to mention sweat. No gas or exhaust odors and it is much quieter. The grass discharge is on the rear (blows to the left) so there is no issue with a discharge chute getting in the way on one side like on my gas mower. The grass comes out finely cut and did not clump at all, even though we have had continuous rain for weeks prior. My only complaint is that I usually like to scalp my lawn to about 3/4 of an inch high. The lowest setting for this mower is 1.5 inches. For all the perks, I can get used to this. (I had an issue with the delivery--not Amazon--UPS; however, Amazon made everything right and once again came through with excellent customer service.) I'd recommend this mower, I have never been burned by Worx. Their customer service is excellent as well. Plus there is a five year limited warranty. ... show more

This review is for the WORX Nitro 40V 21" Cordless Lawn Mower w/Aerodeck This is the first battery powered mower I've ever owned and wanted to love it with 5 stars. Pros: Like any sharpened blade it cuts well, even damp, if cuts (see below). I like the way it automatically applies more power (Intellicut Technology) when needed. Great for damp grass, not so much for tall grass that is also damp. I like the mulching and bagging capabilities for dry grass. It's lightweight so easy for me to handle and stow. Battery charge lasts long enough, 1.5 hours, to cut my entire lawn, front side and back - about 1,000 sq ft. I think the batteries charge fast enough and the charger also charges my other Worx batteries. Cons: This is actually a big deal for me, which is why I took off 2 stars. What I don't care for is the lack of vacuum action to draw up heavier grass blades and weeds enough to be cut. Even at the lowest setting. I know my blended grass is not ideal and I have weeds like crabgrass and dandelions but my power mower managed to take care of this so I noticed it right away. If you don't have perfect grass (like you see on a golf coarse or 90210) or have dandelions or crabgrass, you might consider a different mower with more power. Final Note: Living in the PNW we get dew frequently, a lot of rain, and grass grows fast. So being able to cut grass before it gets high or can dry out is probably going to be another problem. ... show more

Love this electric mower! It's very easy to start, very easy to push. Batteries are a bit hard to remove, but otherwise, the mower works great! It's very lightweight and stores upright so it doesn't take up a lot of space in my garage. I almost look forward to mowing my grass now!

I purchased this mower after my gas mower kicked the bucket and I didn't want to deal with a gas engine again. So far the mower has worked flawlessly although with the dry weather I've only had to mow 3 times this year. I have close to a half acres of yard and by the time I'm done I still have 2 bars left on the batteries. Bagging seems to extend the battery life compared to mulching but I was still able to mulch my entire yard on 1 set of batteries. I would definitely recommend this mower and there are also many other tools that go with the platform so it's a stop shop for my yardwork. ... show more
