After my old gas powered push lawn mower gave out (after I nearly through my shoulder out pulling and pulling on the starter cord to try to get it to go), I decided to take a chance on a battery powered WORX cordless. Now after several mowings I am firmly convinced I made the right decision. This 14" WORX cordless is a champ! I needed a small push mower to do final trim mowing after I hit the yard with my 42" rider. This WORX is just perfect for the final trim, so easy to use around trees, plantings, flower gardens in the yard. It is light as a feather. The two batteries give me enough run time to do all my trimming. My wife (who was uncomfortable with the loud, smelly, noisy gas mower) loves this WORX cordless. The cut with the WORX is excellent, perhaps not quite as crisp as the gas mower, but I have learned that going a bit slower and setting the cut a notch lower results in a nice cut. I like the easy to install catcher for collecting clippings to add to my compost bin. The run time is very well match to my own (77 year old) run time. Assembly from the box was a matter of maybe minutes. The charger for the two batteries works overnight for a full charge. I love the "remaining battery charge" light on the mower. I would highly recommend this WORX 14" cordless mower and give it a FIVE STAR rating for value and performance. ... show more

    • Great little mower! On my second year now.

After the professional mowing company I've been using for several years raised their prices significantly during the pandemic to better cover their rising gasoline costs, I decide to revolt by buying this little battery mower and mow my average size lawn myself. This thing paid for itself in no time. This is my second year using this mower and it's been a great little machine! I'm a grandma in my 60s and I didn't want to bother with a mower that needed gasoline and oil, spark plugs, etc. or any kind of routine maintenance that I don't have a clue how to do. I was able to unpack and assemble this by myself with zero mechanical knowledge. The two batteries last about 45 minutes to and hour on a charge. I can usually get my whole yard done on a single charge, depending on how long I've let my grass get between mowings. I use the mulching feature each time. I've tried bagging it once and that worked great too. I prefer mulching though. Be sure to inspect your yard prior to mowing and pick up any pinecones or sticks longer than 12 inches before you mow, as accidently running over those with the mower will make a terrible sound and will dull your blade faster. This mower is small in size, but that's just what I need. A male relative of mine made fun of it and said it looks like a child's bubble mower, but I don't care that it's small. It gets the job done well and it's perfect for me and my average size yard. I don't mind that the mower deck is smaller than a lot mowers out there. I can maneuver this mower well and it isn't heavy to push up a sloping yard. The batteries take about 5 hours to recharge. So make sure you plan ahead and charge them well in advance so you're ready to go. This grandma says "get it." ... show more

    • It Does The Job
Style: 14" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
Bought this back in February for obvious reasons, Refurbished "Like New", from the Amazon Warehouse. Love the mower itself, it took about thirty minutes to set up (very unmechanical), and is easy to use. But the description said there was a double charger and two batteries included. There were no batteries. Fortunately, as a previous WORX customer, I had some I could use and the double charger really charges much quicker than the single battery chargers I had been using. I just don't like not receiving something I had expected. Just unboxed and started using the mower a couple of weeks ago. It is very light weight to push around and it does a great job as long as the batteries last, which seems to be about 20 minutes. If your yard can't get mowed in that amount of time, I would suggest getting another set of batteries to plop in when those give out. I had expected to get that "extra set" with the mower, but now I will be ordering them separately, so the bargain is looking like less of one. Overall, I've glad to have it as I am getting too old for the heavier models. It does the job. ... show more

This review is for the WORX Nitro 40V 21" Cordless Lawn Mower w/Aerodeck This is the first battery powered mower I've ever owned and wanted to love it with 5 stars. Pros: Like any sharpened blade it cuts well, even damp, if cuts (see below). I like the way it automatically applies more power (Intellicut Technology) when needed. Great for damp grass, not so much for tall grass that is also damp. I like the mulching and bagging capabilities for dry grass. It's lightweight so easy for me to handle and stow. Battery charge lasts long enough, 1.5 hours, to cut my entire lawn, front side and back - about 1,000 sq ft. I think the batteries charge fast enough and the charger also charges my other Worx batteries. Cons: This is actually a big deal for me, which is why I took off 2 stars. What I don't care for is the lack of vacuum action to draw up heavier grass blades and weeds enough to be cut. Even at the lowest setting. I know my blended grass is not ideal and I have weeds like crabgrass and dandelions but my power mower managed to take care of this so I noticed it right away. If you don't have perfect grass (like you see on a golf coarse or 90210) or have dandelions or crabgrass, you might consider a different mower with more power. Final Note: Living in the PNW we get dew frequently, a lot of rain, and grass grows fast. So being able to cut grass before it gets high or can dry out is probably going to be another problem. ... show more

Excellent mower withe enough power to do my small lot, cut front and back twice. This time I let the grass grow a bit, 6 inches and damp, the mower performed greater than expectations. I did have to stop once the empty the catcher, though I had to do the same thing with my gas mower. Took the batteries out, stood mower upright, and cleaned the under carriage, easy peasy! ... show more
